A lovely weekend getaway
Very pleased with our stay. The customer service was wonderful, the room was comfy and well equipped and the breakfast was delicious! The scenery is stunning. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay one to remember. Would definitely return.

The location was superb with excellent mountain views. Not too far from the town of Conwy. The lounge areas tastefully decorated and intimate. A lovely friendly atmosphere especially with staff and other guests. Food was excellent and of high quality. The facilities of the leisure area pool and gym excellent and family friendly There is a feeling of quirky-ness with creaking floorboards otherwise a very enjoyable stay and would recommend a visit

The breakfast and service at breakfast was fabulous, the location of the property is superb, surrounded by hills and great walking, and just a short 5 minute drive into Conwy. The room we were allocated was disappointing in terms of space, the pool was pleasant to relax in although the hot tub felt a little tepid compared to others we have used. We enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend.

The room you were allocated was the room you booked. Had you booked a larger room you would have got one.

Great indoor pool with superb views!
Amazing little spot on the famous Sychnant pass. Beautiful grounds and luxurious views especially from the heated indoor pool after walking on the beach and exploring snowdonia. Lovely changing rooms with power showers. Hugh was a great host and attended to our every need. Mattresses’ could do with an overhaul but rooms were clean and would stay again. Great location for exploring Conwy, Anglesey and Snowdonia.

Beautiful country house with rural views
Absolutely beautiful hotel and facilities couldn't ask for anything better . Stunning room offering everything we could ask for and more. The queen bed was out of this world and the ambience wad so cosy and peaceful. Staff were lovely and the 3 course breakfast was outstanding. Spent my 40th birthday here in room 11 that was big as my house. Didn't want to come home. 👌

Not worth the £135 price tag
I stayed here for one night. The manager was very pleasant but I was disappointed with the room. It was quite small and outdated. There was considerable creaking from the floor above. The hotel was situated in a very remote location. The gym and pool facilities were not maintained well. The breakfast operation seemed poorly organised. I expected much more for the price tag.

Hugh was very welcoming and the location lovely, however the rooms and main hotel could do with refurbishing - all just a little bit tired. The food was lovely but overall the price was a bit too high for the package offered.

At the foothills of Snowdonia
From the moment of stepping through the front door and looking out at the beautiful view through the picture window, you felt relaxed.Hugh ( owner) gave us a guided tour of the pool, hot tub and sauna.We stayed in room 10 which was magnificent, lovely four posterbed, balcony with great views double showers,sinks and jacuzzi bath.We had the option of the evening meal which we decided to take and was not disappointed. This was 5* at the highest level and everyone was so friendly.We will defiantly return.

LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL!!
OUR GPS ACTED UP THE DAY WE WERE HEADED TO THE COUNTRY HOUSE SO WE WERE BEAT. IT ALL CHANGED WHEN WE PULLED UP TO THE FRONT GATE...THERE WERE 3 BEAUTIFUL HORSES AND A SCATTERING OF SHEEP WAITING AROUND THE FRONT LIKE A SETTING FOR A MOVIE. WE WALKED UP THE STAIRS TO THE FRONT DOOR AND HUGH(ONE OF THE OWNERS) WAS WAITING FOR US AND WE FELT LIKE WE WERE AT A FRIENDS HOME. THEY HAVE A WONDERFUL CHEF WHO FIXED US AN AMAZING DINNER ACCOMPANIED BY WONDERFUL WINES. INDOOR POOL AND OUTSIDE HOT TUB WAS REFRESHING. A GREAT WAY TO END A HECTIC DAY.

Comfortable hotel in great location.
Perfect location for walking, just outside of Conwy with easy footpath access. Friendly staff and food was excellent. Clean room with comfortable bed. The only improvement that I would suggest is the bottom of the swimming pool was not as clean as I would expect. We had a lovely stay and will most likely be visiting again.

Friendly hotel with lovely facilities
The staff were very eager to help. Nothing was too much trouble. The atmosphere was relaxed, and it was a place were you could really unwind. Couples, children, dogs - all were made welcome. The meals were excellent and care was taken with a food intolerance I have. There was a lovely swimming pool and delightful walks right on the doorstep.

This would be a lovely feature in the summer, but as the rain continued throughout our stay, it was only used as a short cut to the car park. The pool area was very nice, although there were a few parts that would benefit from redecoration. There is a hot tub outside, but as it's not undercover, it's not ideal for all weather's. Overall, it's a lovely hotel and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Peace in the Hills
A delightfully quiet and well-appointed hotel. We stopped over between two days hillwalking. The room was very comfortable with views over the nearby slopes. A swim in the pool before an excellent dinner (evening sunshine helped).

Fabulous country house hotel.
I stayed here for a weekend break in March. It is one of the nicest hotels Ive stayed in in the UK. Hugh is a fantastic and very attentive host. The atmosphere is friendly and informal, with a large lounge area for guests to mingle or find a quiet corner of depending on your wishes for your stay. The breakfasts are generous and high quality. The manx kippers are devine :) The pool saunarium and hot tub made our stay that bit more special, especially Hugh bringing us a glass of wine each to enjoy in the tub surrounded by the glorious Welsh countryside. I look forward to my next trip to North wales and to this lovely little hotel.
