Dated but immaculately clean
Basic and dated room but immaculately clean. Good food in the evening and at breakfast, only issue was the coffee machine kept breaking down. Great stay all the staff were top of their game : )

Stayed for one night to visit Chester zoo. Found the hotel clean and comfortable, staff welcoming. Breakfast very good with lots of choice. Would happily stay here again.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are sorry you felt we did not meet our usual high standards. We appreciate and welcome all feedback, using them to improve our services to the guests.On the back of this review, the management team has completed additional maintenance checks on the room you stayed in. The vast majority of the room has been decorated with wallpaper, however, they have noticed a small crack in the paint above the shower, we are presuming this is the peeling paint you are referring to and I can confirm this will be resolved in the coming days. I agree that our rooms are a little dated, however, we have an extremely high cleanliness score within IHG, and plans to renovate the bathrooms are currently in the early stages. I must, however, refute the blanket comment about the uncooked breakfast food. Our kitchen has the highest food hygiene rating of 5. To get a 5, in-depth records of food temperatures are kept proving that the food is cooked. This is completed every day on numerous occasions, including the morning you had breakfast. We do hope that you return to us in the future.

It’s been a while since I’ve stayed, normally stay at another location, but the extortionate parking charges made me stay a little further out. Has been updated since my last stay and it was a pleasant surprise.

Excellent hotel for an overnight stay
We used this hotel for an overnight stay on the way to our holiday. The reception staff greeted us with a smile and were extremely helpful. Our room was spacious, spotless and comfortable. We enjoyed a lovely meal in the restaurant. Tasty and real good value. Would throughly recommend.
