We had a very short layover between landing in Male' and getting a seaplane out to our resort early the next morning, so I won't be able to tell you much about the hotel except to say the rooms were clean, yet small. The standard double we were in was barely large enough for our bags and us (my husband and me), but the bathroom was contemporary and the TV had the news stations we like to watch.
The staff was very accommodating considering we arrived at 11:00pm and left the next morning at 5:45am. Because we departed before the complimentary breakfast, the staff made us coffee and a couple of lunch boxes containing fruit and cheese sandwiches to take with us.
The location is directly across the street from the water with a few rooms that had balconies that overlooked the water. I see this place and the surrounding buildings exploding with construction that will rival South Miami Beach in the years to come.
Highly recommend Bandos. We went on the all inclusive package in a deluxe room. The room was impressively clean. The beaches were beautiful. You really clear your mind at this place. The all inclusive buffet was "okay." We all found something we could each at each meal. If you want to go to one of the other restaurants on the island they will give you a credit of $20 per adult and $10 per child if you are on the all inclusive package. They also offer room service through the Sea Shore café. Good food at the Sea Shore. We ate dinner at Huvan one night and it was so terrible my wife an I both sent our meals back. Huvan is nice for drinks, but I don't recommend the food. The A/C unit in the room covers one half of it. Tip: If you get rollaway beds (we got two for the kids and they were very comfortable), position them by the other bed, not by the door, so they can get A/C. The WIFI was good enough for basic surfing, but don't expect to stream videos. The staff in reception and in the cafeteria were very friendly. The guys running the water sports center were duds. They wouldn't rent equipment or provide lessons for wind surfing (it's too windy was the excuse), but right after they told me that, they took off and went wind surfing themselves (three days in a row this happened). We did use the tennis court, badmitton, pool, and foozeball in the recreation center. They were all in good shape and we had a lot of fun with the kids.

Great Resort, unbeatable location and wonderful staff. We had the best time of our life over the 8 days spent in the hotel just last week. Could not ask for more. Staff is so friendly, amenities are amazing and management makes you wish all hotels were this well managed. Although quite a distance from the Pacific Northwest, we may consider visiting the Maldives again and staying at Baros.

Everything they say is true....absolutely the most fantastic hotel we've stayed at. We were here for 5 days. My family of 4 (2 adults, 2 teens) stayed is Crusoe Residence, which is an over water villa. It had a separate bedroom with king size bed,and the living room had 2 day beds that comfortably slept our tall teenage boys. Both the bedroom and living room has air conditioning. The resort was fantastic and the good was outstanding. We got the half board package (breakfast and dinner included) and found it to be perfect for us -- big breakfast (buffet), skip lunch, then a nice dinner. Your stay at the resort can be as relaxing or adventurous as you'd like. There was plenty of activities if that's what you want - scuba diving, snorkeling, deep sea fishing, parasailing, sailing, tubing, sushi making, garden demonstration, yoga, spa, fitness room, bikes, etc. And a nice hammock outsude your villa if that's all you want to do! The service was amazing - every detail was anticipated and efficiently handled. Water equipment was in outstanding condition and all the boats were immaculately maintained. The resort has a "no shoes" policy, so literally we didn't wear shoes all week -- not for dinner or anywhere! You can if you want to, but it was so liberating to spend all day without shoes.

We spend our Honeymoon in Eriyadu Island Resort, and we didn't regret it.
If you don't want to spend a lot amount of money but would you like to visit Maldives i definitely recommend Eriyadu Island Resort.
Amazing staff, nice smallquiet beach, and great food.
everything about our stay is just perfect, the staffs are so friendly, treat you like a king. Breakfast buffet was delicious, so were all the dinner restaurants. Only draw back to my stay was the room i stayed, 208, is facing the sun between 12-4 ish, and its burning, i can't lay on the chair and enjoy my balcony while guests from across the water can because of the direction of the sun. I can only look on with envy. Water is crystal clear, you will have fun snorkeling just by the huts, but if you wanted to see something more 'wow', then you gotta go deeper, towards the dark blue waters. But don't go too deep though due to the currents.
I went boat diving with the Banyan Tree marine center, I loss my underwater camera in the 2nd dive when got into water. After 1 hour dive and surfaced at different location, the team helped to navigate on the sea where I jumped into water. It was really a miracle they were able to find my camera floating on the sea! I truly believe this is an unforgettable experience and my heartfelt appreciation to Ali and his team.

This is without doubt the ideal tropical retreat, no motorised vehicles just 46 beachside bungalows spread out around the perimeter of the island, which means that you can walk completely around the island on the beach in 15 minutes! This is the place to come if you want nothing more than water activities, sunbathing, eating, drinking and catching up on your favourite novels.
The ratio of staff to guests is one to one although you may never see the majority as they are working behind the scenes to maintain the essential services. Those front of house staff that you meet are very good at remembering your likes and dislikes and have a great sense of humour.
There is an abundance of fish on the reef, and you will probably see some black or white tipped reef sharks (they are harmless).do not miss the daily sting ray feeding on the sister island..
Do not worry about mosquitos as the island is fumigated twice a week.

This region is home to the national capital Male, the international airport, and a high concentration of resorts. The good news is that the pace, serenity, and low key development of the islands is intact.
