Hotel is close to airport. Met a group of folks over Labor Day weekend. Food and drinks are typical all inclusive style. Staff very friendly. Currently building an new eatery next to lobby, so be patient with the construction and such.
Our stay started with very few people at the hotel and we loved it! The wait staff were very interactive and attentive. The facilities are good, however, need some repairs. The food was very nice. Mid week the hotel filled up and things got crazy. There were a lot of young families and also young adults who were there unchaparoned. The young people were very disruptive, drinking through the night and very loud. It didn't appear to be a concern to the staff. Many of the young people were falling down drunk and vomiting and I didn't see any of the staff intervene. In all I would stay here again, but maybe not during the down season when school is letting out.
This is a great place for families, I went in sep so there's not a lot of tourists, my boyfriend and I stayed here. I have no complains I just wish the ac would cool the room more. The maid would come everyday give us clean towels, soap, water, etc . There was iguanas chilling everywhere. The only thing I didn't like was that it's raining season so we couldnt really go on the beach because either it was super dirty or the waves where way to strong. The pool was great! This hotel looks very old school kind of like apartment buildings I did have to walk like 5 mins to the beach but my room was across the beach the cool part was that I had wifi in my room. You could only get signal by the pools or lobby, I wanted to go to the hotel events but I never found the location. I didn't try the food at the resort. There is sorianas like 2 blocks away from the hotel so we would just go there and cook our own stuff. Don't ask the taxis for restaurant recommendations because they will take u to nasty places they do it because they work on commission .I would suggest going to the malecon for all sorts of restaurants. Overall I would stay here again not bad at all.
We stayed in this hotel for week.
Overall the hotel is good.
We had all inclusive deal and were very satisfied with food choices.
Hotel personnel definitely deserves just best overall rating, for friendliness and being ready to help and accommodate various request.
Hotel pool is well maintained, and pool service is also very good.
At the same time hotel beach is in good shape but certainly not for families with young children. The waves are quite big and because of that there is no shallow region, but water gets deep (6-10 feet) pretty fast.
One major concern that we had with the room in hotel is that bathroom area is completely open into the room lacking any door or way to separate it from main sleeping area. This means that there is not much privacy while being in the bathroom. We worked around it but found it extremely unusual.
The hotel needs renovation. It was very clean and spacious. The "sofabed" was more of a large couch cushion- not too comfortable. It takes about 20 min to get to the beach & 5 with a cab. It's a family friendly hotel.
"Immaculately looked after hotel with fabulous staf"
This is a beautiful place to stay the grounds are immaculate! Vistas of the Sierra Madres and the beach. it has quiet pools and noisy family fun pools. The rooms are clean and spacious. The staff is amazing our maid Amelia was awesome and Diego in Concierge services was incredible he made our trip memorable. Also we love that theres shopping mall down the street where you can buy anything you need and local buses just outside on the street.
It was an amazing experience hotel and all! You really feel like you are on vacations! Internet is kinda sucks but that's tru out the city! And to charge $10 a day! Not really happy about that! Especially when it doesn't work in your rooms. But overall a very nice place to stay at.
We just finished 7 days at the resort and it was perfect for our two kids, 2 year old boy and 11 year old girl. The kids pool has water slides that kept my 2 year old wanting more and more. The buffet was what you would expect from a buffet but the three restaurants used for dinner was excellent and a lot of fun for everyone. Each night, there is a show for the family with singing and dancing, which kept everyone entertained. It is a little older resort but is certainly well maintained and clean. I would recommend this for anyone with children.
Pocket Guide: Puerto Vallarta North Hotel Zone Hotels
Large resorts dominate the Hotel Zone, arguably the center of Puerto Vallarta tourism. This area includes the Maritime Terminal, where cruise ships dock. Across the street, visitors can see authentic bullfights at La Paloma Bullring. Like its southern half, the North Hotel Zone’s main attraction is the crescent-shaped bay. Water sports are in abundance, as are restaurants, bars, and shops.
