About 10 minutes from Malecon. Great heated pools. Right near the beach. Big but not too big. Booked thru Expedia and received 2 beds when we wanted 1 king. Front desk said because we were only there 1 night we had to take this only option. Beautiful place with a quiet policy after 10pm. Staff is as always great. Paid $110 usd/night just for room. Around $30/each for breakfast. Would have cost $200 for inclusive. Drinks are expensive. If you wanted to save money you could shop for groceries and then go out for the occasional dinner. All in all a good deal.
Our stay started with very few people at the hotel and we loved it! The wait staff were very interactive and attentive. The facilities are good, however, need some repairs. The food was very nice. Mid week the hotel filled up and things got crazy. There were a lot of young families and also young adults who were there unchaparoned. The young people were very disruptive, drinking through the night and very loud. It didn't appear to be a concern to the staff. Many of the young people were falling down drunk and vomiting and I didn't see any of the staff intervene. In all I would stay here again, but maybe not during the down season when school is letting out.
We come here often. We love that it is close to downtown Puerto Vallarta. The rooms have a kitchenette with a bar fridge, which allow s to have breakfast and lunch at the resort, and we go out on the town for dinner.mthe resort has a laundromat and there's a grocery store nearby. The beach sn't the nicest in the world, but the people are very friendly.
"An nice affordable place to kick back in safety."
All good from check-in to check-out. The friendly staff greeted with a tropical drink. Check-in was a breeze. This is our fifth visit to the Golden Crown Paradise and there were many familiar faces both in the staff and visitors. The room was up to our expectations, the air conditioning worked perfectly. The restaurants were very good with a wide variety of food types. Pools, hot tubs remodeled. Restaurants were remodeled and/or updated. We spent time in the downtown areas and were very comfortable. Our departure was as planned with the airport transportation on time. No glitches at anytime. We will plan to do it again next year.
This is a great place for families, I went in sep so there's not a lot of tourists, my boyfriend and I stayed here. I have no complains I just wish the ac would cool the room more. The maid would come everyday give us clean towels, soap, water, etc . There was iguanas chilling everywhere. The only thing I didn't like was that it's raining season so we couldnt really go on the beach because either it was super dirty or the waves where way to strong. The pool was great! This hotel looks very old school kind of like apartment buildings I did have to walk like 5 mins to the beach but my room was across the beach the cool part was that I had wifi in my room. You could only get signal by the pools or lobby, I wanted to go to the hotel events but I never found the location. I didn't try the food at the resort. There is sorianas like 2 blocks away from the hotel so we would just go there and cook our own stuff. Don't ask the taxis for restaurant recommendations because they will take u to nasty places they do it because they work on commission .I would suggest going to the malecon for all sorts of restaurants. Overall I would stay here again not bad at all.
Service is five star. Food is very good especially in the gourmet restaurant. Great beach with drink and food service on the beach. This is an all-inclusive resort with good shows and activities including Kayaking and Yoga. They are currently remodeling the front entrance and lobby but keep the noise down. Great view of the town from our 11th floor balcony.
My son loved the hotel due to the attractions for the kids! Drinks menu in every bar for them too! For my son this hotel is the best! But the rooms needs improvement. The drinks for the adults are good but they could use better quality in the alcohol.
Pocket Guide: Puerto Vallarta North Hotel Zone Hotels
Large resorts dominate the Hotel Zone, arguably the center of Puerto Vallarta tourism. This area includes the Maritime Terminal, where cruise ships dock. Across the street, visitors can see authentic bullfights at La Paloma Bullring. Like its southern half, the North Hotel Zone’s main attraction is the crescent-shaped bay. Water sports are in abundance, as are restaurants, bars, and shops.
