I had reservations for Aug 19-21 2016..on the 19th

I had reservation for AUGUST 19-21 2016..howard Johnson charged my debit card for 1 night already b4 I even got there at 5:08 tht morning..i called quite a few times to verify my reservations on the 19th and each time I was told there was no reservation in my name so I was robbed and played...BAD FOR BUSINESS

I Highly Recommend You Reconsider

Pros: Absolutely Nothing.
Cons: The city needs to do an inspection to remediate potential problems with mold and cockroaches. The customer service was sub-par. Poor at best.
Location: Proximity to my desired location was not bad. Ocean view and beach area.
After a 14 hour drive, the customer support or lack thereof it was extremely disappointing. This ruined my vacation due to the level of uncleanness. Floors unkept and wet. Extreme moisture and a visible presence of mold. This has been the worst hotel I have ever seen. It's unfortunate to note that Wyndham owns this. The hotel smells of uncleanliness.

Number of problems with physical plant.

Pros: It had reasonable rates, was quiet, bed was comfortable.
Cons: The cable service was very unhelpful. Spent four hours trying to get on line . Finally, they said it must be my computer. It wasn't.
Location: Stores and restaurants quite close by. Not close to beach but driving accessible.
Problems with Internet service, cable died a few times, water wouldn't drain from bath. Other than that, the room was clean and functional. The breakfast was poor. Ran out of eggs both days by the time I got there.

Not Worth the Price

Pros: The second room was not bad.
Cons: Management, the air units and the entire appearance of the hotel
Location: Location was good.
First night was horrible. The air conditional unit was apparently broken, called multiple times to the front desk for a change of room. The guy at the front desk said the hotel was full, but promised to send someone to look into it. But no one ever came. Could not sleep at all in the heat with no air of any kind. In the morning the management kept arguing with me until he finally went to the room and saw that the unit was in fact broken. He apologized and said they would refund my money but when I asked for the refund he told me to ask the agent that booked the hotel for me. In spite of several phone calls and talking to different people they still refused to refund or give a voucher.

Staff was extremely rude , they never cleaned room even when asked or took out trash. One employee even had the nerve to call back after I complained to tell me to just go get towels myself. I paid almost $200 for 2 nights and I had to ask for a roll of toilet paper, which they just left outside my door on the windowsill. Another employee insisted it was because we put the do not disturb sign. Little did he know there wasn't even one in the room. I wish I paid more attention to the reviews . I made the reservation so I was so embarrassed. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!
