The Ramada in Virginia Beach is adequate for the price but shows signs of being old. It could use new paint and renovation. For example, the in-room safe is not digital but uses key; no matter, the key was stuck in the safe door anyway. The dining area is renewed and is quiet good. With a little love and care the hotel will be fine.

This may be one of the worst hotels I have stayed at in Virginia Beach area. Hotel was dirty, run down. No Coffee for hotel guests in the morning. Trash all over outside.

The managers were wonderful. We had some situations in two rooms and it was nothing for them to move us each time which was over and beyond. it's an older place but the view of the ocean and the area around the Hotel allowed us to do many things.Besides all you do is sleep in the room and if they room is clean youre good to go. I'd stay there again.

The hotel is in bad need of a renovation, but that actually is the least of my frustration. Although I received multiple communications from the property concerning our stay, not once did anyone tell me that the only way out would be closed due to a road race until 1:00 in the afternoon. Our plans for the day are ruined.

The entire property itself is absolutely gorgeous. The outside, inside, hallways everything was immaculately cleaned. I did have issues with the room I had due to smell, the hottub in the room did leak but easy communication and helped very fast. I will not be staying anywhere else! Thank you Ramada Plaza 💚

The staff was friendly but the room was not great . The lock on the sliding door was broken so we could not lock it . The refrigerator did not work so all our food got spoiled .

The property was very dated and dirty throughout the common areas. The room was fair, however again dated and mold in the shower area wasn’t pleasant. Then to top it all off I’m having to deal with the fact that they over charged me. Stayed two nights was charged for three.

I have a few mixed feelings regarding this hotel stay. We are a family of five, three boys under the age of 16. We travel a lot and I understand as the kids get older we will eventually have to book separate rooms. We are not at the point yet. My youngest is 4 years old. We checked in last night about 6:30. The check-in-staff was okay he wasn't exactly friendly but he got his checked in answered some questions gave us our room keys and we went upstairs. At first glance, the building is in need of some updates old carpet chipping paint etc. What I really care about is the room which I'm going to get into in just a minute. To let you know this place does not offer any type of breakfast. As you can tell from the pictures the room is pretty small no sofa bed two double When I went downstairs to inquire about a possible roll away bed the gentleman at the front desk told me he would have to check. I also asked for extra pillows and linen so that I could potentially make a bed. The front desk did eventually bring us pillows and linen but told me that told me that they no longer had rollaway beds. I explained to him that when I book hotels we usually have a pull out bed in the rooms I've never had an issue with that. He then proceeded to tell me that they do have rollaway beds but they are $45. Upon researching they offer them for $25. This is not worth the price. Final bill $118.00

Felt like a neglected property ready for a new owner. Bathroom without ventilation, fridge without a freezer, no outlet to plug in coffee maker except the lamp bedside, THE BED WAS NOT GOOD...one side sloping and support over all poor on the back. The person who checked us in was cordial and the only plus. Room was incredibly small compared to other spots on the strip for the same price. Felt more like a dive hotel than a Wyndam.

The front desk staff needs additional training - had to complete check in form that I had complete online the night before until I questioned the reason. Hotel needs repairs seen better days. Last time I stay at a Ramada property.

Staff and management have "ZERO" communication. Paid for a very late checkout so my spouse and I could catch a nap before our long drive home. We sleep with ear plugs because of noise from the area which is normal. Was awakened to staff trying to slim jim the lock on our door for forced entry. I stopped it and had to get assertive with staff in nothing but a towel. Neither my spouse or I were dressed so it has our nerves rattled and honestly i no longer feel safe at this establishment that i have been visiting several times a year for the last 5 years. Wasnt going to say anything about the bad service or cleanliness(or lack of). They no longer offer turn down service for booked rooms. One must call and request new linens and install themselves. The amount of black mold in the bathrooms is a serious health concern. My google review has pictures

We enjoyed our stay so much that we stayed an extra night. The room was a good size, so we didn’t feel cramped. It had a wonderful ocean view. It was clean and everything worked properly. I.e. a/c, mini fridge, microwave, etc. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Check in/out was a breeze. They got us into our room by 12:15pm, which was even earlier than the 1:00pm early check in we requested. Check in/out was a breeze. We'll definitely be returning for another stay asap! :)

Room was clean, but is really showing the wear. The end table by the chair has had all the veneer torn or worn off. The mold on the bathroom ceiling tile has stained the tiles grayish-brown. The entrance door and garment closet door both stick and are hard to open. The toilet paper holder is right against your leg/hip as you sit on the toilet. The pop-out door safety catch is almost ready to fall off the wall. The mattress felt like it slopes toward the headboard. The luggage cart was very wobbly and only one of the three has a garment hook on it. The staff were very nice and helpful. The location is convenient. The facility was clean. It is just old and worn out…

Moved three times, first room the bedroom door wouldn’t open, next room after storm floor soak and air conditioner full of water. The last room the AC didn’t work made a clanking noise so loud that we could not run it. Left a day earlier just to find another hotel to get a good night sleep. Will never go to again.

Our non-smoking room clearly had a strong smoke smell, which the staff denied and refused to move us to a different room. The room was poorly cleaned. The TV remote had no batteries, and the cable was not connected. That problem was not resolved until the next day. We lost the cable later in the week as well which also took over a day to fix. And if I wanted to put my trash at the door I could have stayed at home! Property overall poorly maintained.

Worst hotel experience I’ve ever had
Staff was rude at check in, cutting me off mid sentence as I was asking about parking by saying “…I’m not done speaking yet!” This was after they had stopped talking and were looking at the computer. Check in took about 15minutes even though there was no one in front of me; they were slow to address me and then stared at the computer for around ten minutes saying nothing while I stood there. Hotel was in disrepair, carpet torn and dirty, walls touched up with mismatched paint, holes in walls, elevators dirty, hallways reeked of pot smoke. Restaurant host told me I was better off going elsewhere d/t staff calling out - which was actually a good idea I’m guessing. Parking was non existent at hotel. Parked at garage across street which was so small I couldn’t drive the intended direction d/t the path being so impossibly small. Had to back up and pull forward several times at each turn just to make them in my regular sized truck. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Waited an hour to check in to be told that I’ll have to be moved the next day. Wasn’t ready at 6 pm when check in was 4. Room was dirty. Sink cracked, Faucet leaked all night. Refrigerator didn’t work, My expensive crab cake dinner went bad. Balcony door in both rooms was sticking Ice machine on 7th fl didn’t work. No hairdryer No housekeeping at all! There was a note in the elevator that said, clean your own room, and put your trash in the hall by noon if you want it picked up. Wake up call at 6:24 for no reason Not into new room until 11:45 the next day. Was as bad as the first room. Dirty. Cigarette butts and trash all over the balcony. Bathroom dirty.
