A curate's egg
Lots of plusses; our room in the annexe (recommended, it's very quiet there) was adequate in size and very clean with up-to-date facilities, good shower for the less mobile. Reception staff most helpful and a good night's sleep. The let-down was breakfast, food well cooked, no problem there but I think the place is really aimed at the wedding parties so morning service is at a minimum, too DIY for me. Butter in nasty little wrapped pats, sauces in un-openable sachets, no jug/cafetierre for coffee, instead on demand (if there's any one around), help yourself to marmalade etc (if you can find a spoon). The menu is full English or selected items - no fish options and what about ham and cheese for continental guests? I know good B&Bs that get all this right and at cheaper prices. If these things don't bother you have a nice stay, I'm sure you will.
