All the staff was really friendly made you feel really welcome as soon as you walk into the hotel the room itself was clean and tidy swimming pool is great for the kids foods good overall really good experience at this hotel we will definitely be staying again sometime.😊

convenience before you fly
Our stay was lovely and relaxing before a flight the following day. Evening meal was very good, breakfast also, good selection. Only negatives our room was a little tired, also the bench seats in the restaurant. Could due with updating.

Pleasant stay, very convenient for our needs. Only downside was same as most UK hotels lack of maintenance. Shaver socket not working , television reception poor.

Two night weekend stay for a wedding in Norwich
On the plus side the staff were really friendly and helpful (reception helped us book a taxi) and the choice of food at breakfast was wide. Plentiful free parking on site. On the negative side we could not get a table for dinner until late because of a function (which nobody had told us about) and our room was cold.

Restaurant closed
The Holiday Inn Norwich is classed as a 4 star hotel, I use it because it is handy for my onward travel. During my recent stay I went to the restaurant to order food and was advised that the restaurant was closed due to a large party ongoing but room service was available. I advised the member of staff that I was meeting colleagues and did not want to eat in my room and as a guest I should have some priority. The member of staff went to speak to the manager and a compromise of a 30 minute wait was agreed, Not great but I agreed as better than sitting in the room or walking to Mcdonalds on a cold night The main lobby of the hotel is very cold as the main doors remain open for long periods plus the warm air blower above was not working when enquired about. Whilst chatting to colleagues we were forced to wear warm coats as it was so cold. The staff at the hotel are great and I do not have an issue with this, but as a regular guest and a IHG member I do have an issue with the availability of food and the temperature within the main areas of the hotel.

Staff service and room cleanliness were excellent, unfortunately let down by a faulty heating system in the room coupled with a broken slightly ajar window in cold temperatures, otherwise everything else was perfect and unfaulted

Return yearly for our Halloween visit
Absolutely love the swimming pool and sauna/steam room area as well as how much they look after kids with their VIK rewards and Halloween sweets on check in. Beds were comfy enough but not amazing so could do better there.

I enjoyed my overall stay at the holiday inn, but on entering my room I noted that the window was open. I attempted to close it but it was broke, also the TV ariel was flickering due to a poor connection. On checkout I advised reception of both issues. Apart form those two things the stay was fine with great staff.

Large family room with huge bathroom featuring separate bath and shower. Free parking and no noise from nearby airport. Included a buffet breakfast with a separate gluten free area. Slight issue at check out where they wanted me to pay again (apparently an Expedia error) but this was sorted within 10 minutes once I had found proof of payment.

A hotel with first class service
This hotel is very well managed. All the staff from reception, housekeeping, dining room and cleaning are without doubt the friendliest people you could wish to meet, always helpful, nothing is too much trouble, there is a very peaceful but efficient atmosphere throughout. My wife and I have stayed in many hotels in our life, in the Far East, USA, Canada and New Zealand, rarely have we experienced such such wonderful staff and such a friendly atmosphere. Well done and thank you for your efforts during our recent stay, you are a great team.

I arrived late, around 1am. (I did phone up earlier in the day to let them know) I checked in at reception, headed upstairs ready to get some sleep, only to find someone in the bed!! I absolutely jumped out of my skin…I’m sure the other guy had a shock too with a stranger strolling in, in the middle of the night! I got another room and spoke to reception in the morning. They were more apologetic and sorry that it happened unlike the night staff who thought it was funny. I’ll be putting the chain on the door when I stay in future!
