"The good: Location near downtown, conference center, T, back bay station. The bad: Staff tried to be helpful, but maintenance (engineering) unable to fix: 1) TV whose channels and TV guide were unsynced to their cable provider (I was told “a lot of people are complaining” 2 hours after checking in; after 4 days, still unfixed) 2) phone (no dial tone, was told “a lot of people don’t have a working phone” and they didn’t even try a new phone or a new cord; unfixed after 4 days) There was ONE outlet in the bedroom/sitting area. The TV and lights took up two extension cords. Sure, there were two outlets in the bathroom. But in the 21st century, one outlet is insufficient. I asked for another extension cord. But the same stressed out and exasperated maintenance worker would have to deliver it, and I couldn’t deal with more of his frustration (“my supervisor is t answering the phone, or replying to texts. They never give me sign out on what needs to be done at night…”) The bathroom shower leaked water through a crack in the tile, flooding floor. I did not report this: I was tired of all the problems. The bed is on a slippery platform, and if you sit on it, or accidentally bump the mattress, it slides off the platform. I woke up 2 of 4 nights hanging off the platform with the mattress half on the floor. Did not report this. A/C worked fine; but temps dropped from ‘80’s to 40’s overnight, and there was no heat. Put thermostat up to 78, it was till pumping cold air."

"We live in Central Mass and always stay here when we don’t want to drive back home after a night out. It’s a high class Hotel but budget friendly. Clean, staff is friendly. It’s close to everything especially when you are using Uber. This is probably our 5th time staying here and we love it."

"From their website: "When cravings strike, head to The Placery located at the lobby bar. Here, you’ll find a thoughtfully sourced, cleverly curated menu that has something for everyone. Try our popular burger, Chicken Caesar Salad, or Turkey Pesto Sandwich. And don’t forget to pair it with one of our premium alcoholic beverages*. " The bartender was MIA and I was told when the bar was able to open there was no food except bags of chips. After driving around all day, I don't want to go out to a restaurant. Went over to Legal Seafood and had overpriced wine and burger. This is such a common practice for hotels to advertise non-existent restaurants. I thought with the pictures on their website they really did have one. Staying at a Hampton Inn next time. Their breakfast is better. Room was clean. Toilet was about a foot off the floor. Front desk receptionist was friendly and helpful. Wouldn't go out of my way to stay here again for an overnight stay."

"I reserved a Tower King for the May graduation in early October through Expedia for me and my wife. The room showed in pictures that it had a sofa. Right before my trip, I found out my graduating daughter did not have accommodations for after our arrival, so I called Expedia and the hotel to be sure I could have a third person on the couch and they said there was no couch and the advertised photo was of another room even though they admitted it was false advertising. I had to switch to the only available room with two sets of bunk beds. This room had no usable closet other than some hooks. It had one chair and it appeared that the lower bunk beds were used to sit on since the mattress was so caved in that it made you roll out of bed. The one ceiling light that did not light the whole room and there were no reading lights at the 4 beds. The coffee was not replenished many of the 5 days we were there. The bathroom only had a small 1/2 oz tube of body wash and it was never replaced. There was initially no spare toilet paper roll to replace the 3/4 roll in the bathroom that ran out. The day after graduation we slept in and put the Quiet sign on the door. We left before noon and when returning that night we found our room was not cleaned. I had to ask the front desk to get someone to at least empty the full garbage cans and bring towels so we could shower the next day, and they did. The included breakfast was only coffee, toast, bagels, and cereal until they ran out each day."

"The staff was friendly. Check in fast and efficient. The property appears very clean, and comfortable with plenty of parking. It's in walking distance of restaurants, gas stations, and the Mall. I also enjoyed the full-sized pillows, and big screen tv! Breakfast was ordinary, but all in all the stay was great! I will definitely stay there again!"
