No Aircon but otherwise a cool stay!!
The room view was great, and the weather was great on the first day, which is essential to enjoy the view of Mt. Yotei. The room was clean but not air-conditioned. Houses in Hokkaido are designed primarily for winter, so it wasn’t cool enough during high summer. Considering the level of global warming, I suppose an air-con will be a must in Hokkaido now... unless the present trend reversed and the climate gets cooler. Otherwise the stay was great!!!

I wasn't sure what to expect when we arrived at this hotel other than I knew it was in a great location. I was completely surprised upon arrival that this "older" hotel was completely renovated. I have stayed in Niseko at the Alpen Ridge and the Skye. This was my overall favorite. Although the hotel does not have a spa or pool, it does have a 24-hour gym. The hotel is within a complex called Niseko Shiki. That complex houses several restaurants and a few other businesses. This was a bonus for dining choices when we didn't feel like venturing out very far. But one of the best features of this hotel is its amazing location. It is close to everything! The hotel also offers complimentary shuttle service to and from the Gondola and the bottom of the Ace lift. Another plus was that we rented gear from Rhythm. They have a satellite counter in the Hyatt House, so when we were ready to return our gear, we just dropped in off steps from the front door of the hotel. You will not be disappointed when you stay at Hyatt House. I will happily stay there again on our next visit.

Very clean, quiet, and comfortable stay. Great location and very quick and easy check-in/out. Staff very very helpful in finding a power cable adapter and letting me borrow it for the duration of my stay.

Best stay in Hokkaido.
A good place to stay for family and need extra rooms. All come with individual toilet and view. Also a sitting area and eating table for all. Very comfortable and relaxing for all. Will book again if coming to Niseko. Met the GM and he was helpful and friendly too. Monies well spend.

Everything is perfect except the breakfast. Hotel said my booking was included breakfast buffet but what I get was only a complimentary breakfast e.g. cereals, bread, fruits, and yogurt.

Locals ski weekend Feb 2019
I have stayed here 8+ nights when it was The Shiki Niseko and it recently changed ownership. The lobby was remodeled and is now spacious and bright with a restaurant and a large bar. The rooms are incredible. Big and spacious with great furniture and a FULLY equipped kitchen with a dishwasher. I make full use of it every time I stay. The bedrooms and bathrooms are also large, modern, and comfortable. There are also free laundry machines and driers on each floor. I hear they plan to renovate the rooms in summer 2019 (heard from staff). Free underground parking is clutch but they also provide a free shuttle service to the lifts (and once to the supermarket in Kutchan but I haven’t asked for this service since 3/2018). The location is superb. You can walk easily to any bar or restaurant in Hirafu. I love this place and will continue to stay here (when I can afford it)! Thanks Shiki!

A very convenience place. Ski shops, restaurants, convenience stores and food trucks nearby. We stayed in 2-bedroom apartment. Really big for a family of 4. All staff are very helpful. It was our first time to Niseko. They were very efficient to answer the questions and make the arrangement. Thanks a lot for all the help. Improvement: We did not switch on the heater in the guest bedroom (the smaller one) but sometimes it was too hot too sleep. So we opened the door and switched off the heater in the living room. The air is better.

This hotel was great. The apartment was huge and well appointed with great kitchen facilities including a dishwasher. The free guest laundry was most useful. The staff went out of their way to be helpful especially with the bus timetable to get to our next stop, particularly as the railway line was out of action as a result of the earthquake.

Off season weekend
Rooms are huge with great kitchen and living area. The bedrooms are also spacious with good beds. The hotel is very conveniently located and walkable except to grocery store but staff offers a ride (I’ve only used this service in winter). Definitely going back.

Highly recommended to stay here when in Niseko
Our stay at Shiko Niseko was amazing, our one bedroom apartment had an awesome view of the snow capped mountains, fully equipped kitchen (oven, microwave, rice cooker, coffee machine etc.) The apartment was very spacious with a living room, dining area and separate bedroom. Much bigger than other hotels in Japan.

The perfect place in Hirafu for families
We couldn't have been more pleased with our stay in a 2-bedroom unit for 5 nights. The kitchenette and living areas were very well-appointed (with free basic groceries upon arrival, even). There was a ski shuttle bus driven by the wonderful Narita-san, who greeted us daily with the most genuine smile and always rushed to help us with our ski equipment, or just to assist the children up and down the shuttle bus. Our warmest regards to him. We really appreciate him and would be so pleased to see him again in the future. Shiki is located on the main road of Hirafu, with restaurants, ski shops, and the all-important minimart (Seicomart) within short walking distance. At night, they serve drinks at the Shiki lobby beside the little fireplace. Somehow we only realised it on our final night. Very relaxing atmosphere with gentle piped-in music and all.

Great stay. Second stay at Shiki.
Staff very friendly & helpful. Great facility & easy to get to lifts with Shiki shuttle. Rooms very spacious & well appointed. Would definitely recommend . Having a supermarket in the complex is very convenient.

Top quality accommodation in central location
Shiki Niseko is stylish and well appointed. It is centrally located in hirafu within walking distance to all the main amenities. The staff were friendly and helpful and service was of the highest standard. We stayed in a two bed room two bathroom apartment, it was spacious and all amenities were provided, including features such as stove, oven, grill, toaster etc. The apartment itself was spacious, clean, comfortable, tastefully furnished and had great views, the only very minor comment is some of the furniture is showing signs of fatigue. I highly recommend this place, it was worth every cent. Thank you Shiki Niseko Team :-)

Good location close to the ski lift
It is within walking distance to the family ski and the convenience store. There is also a ski rental shop inside the hotel. It's a big plus for renting and returning the ski equipment. Hotel staff's response is really fast.

Lovely and spacious place with equipped kitchen for families preferring to cook. We did, as it was snowing heavily. Near Ace Family Run. Provides transport for guests so it’s convenient. Apartment stocked with food. recommended!

Fantastic hotel near to ski resort
The apartment is really very spacious, clean and very comfortable. There is free laundry facility. It is a great place for family who like to do a little bit of cooking. The kitchen is well stock with all kind of utensils.

Great luxury hotel with top-notch service!
Special shoutout to Elyse at the frontdesk for patiently explaining everything to us and helping us arrange our transport to the Kutchan train station, even taking it upon herself to help us check train times! The apartment was good-sized, and we thoroughly enjoyed the complimentary breakfast of eggs, muesli, apple juice etc. The shuttle around niseko was also punctual and operated at hourly intervals by a friendly driver who pointed out things of interest to us on the way around Hirafu (: I only have one complaint - the apartment is operated by central heating, so theres no way to adjust the air-conditioning. Each room has its own radiator, but theres no way to get the temperature down. It got a little stuffy in the second room, which didn't have any windows, and we had no choice but to leave our balcony door slightly open overnight to maintain a comfortable temperature. It's not that big of a deal though!

Nice hotel, great location for après ski
The apartments are small but well designed. Good sized bedroom and bathroom and well equipped kitchen. Niseko' best restaurant is attached to the hotel and happy hour at the Gorilla bar was great. The hotel even organised one of their own cars to get us to the bus stop at the Welcome Centre at 7am on the last day.

Great place for family! Apartment is clean and comfortable, and staff are friendly with complimentary shuttle service to train station at any time. Only disappointment is staff's recommendation on ski school.

The staff is very friendly & helpful. The location is 10 mins easy walk to Grand Hirafu base, restaurants & convenice stores are all closely by. Room is very clean & modern. We really enjoy our there for our first Japan ski trip!

I can live here!
The accommodation was an excellent choice as it was very spacious with a kitchen and a separate bedroom. We stayed in a room on 4th floor which did not face the main road so it was very quiet too. The view was nice and snow was a bonus for us.

Very helpful staff, great service! The Shiki bus was very handy. It operated about every 1/2hr & picked up/ dropped off at 4 different locations around the area. This was great when we had all our ski equipment! Shiki also have another car that they can drop you to other locations if needed (for example the local onsen), but most things to do are within walking distance anyway. The beds were very comfortable & the central heating was lovely to escape the cold! Thanks Shiki, we hope to visit again!

Niseko Ski Holiday
Shiki is a great place. It is a pity that we were there too early for the season when the hotel was getting ready. Both the restaurants was not open and supermarket was still on renovation. Nevertheless, the room welcome us with the clean amd comfortable layout. The master bedroom was great while the second room was a little stuffy as there was no window. Living room gave us a great view of the early snow and we enjoyed the kitchen probably the most. Well equipped in the small space, we had great breakfasts and dinner when we decided to stay away from the cold. Overall a great stay. Thank you Shiki !!!

Nice new clean and very helpful staffs
The room was clean and have a lot of space . The reception is very helpful and willing to do anything. There is a driver who can drive and pick up at the lift station and free of charge.

great one bedroom deal in summer!
I know this place rents for 4x higher in winter so it was worth seeing what it's like. really good one bedroom spacious and nice amenities. shower had strong water pressure no tub. one complaint the hallway smelled like garbage due to cleaning staff leaving trash in hall for hours during cleaning which grossed me out.
