The services offered and their respective quality certainly exceeded my expectations, especially when considering the cost of the room. I stayed there for a night; someone picked me up from the bus station (Kapnos) when so asked and they also dropped me off at the city centre the next day. The room definitely had a summery feel which is not great for a visit over winter but that's minor; room was spacious and with a balcony though some aspects of the room could be better maintained but I should repeat that they were minor overall. Breakfast was varied and included anything that one could reasonably expect though I would personally recommend that I was amazed that there wasn't any haloumi or feta cheese; however, there were some local "touches" like rizogalo etc and I should note that the eggs offered to me (omelette) were good and made to order. Overall, it's great for what it is in a very friendly and welcoming environment and incredibly helpful staff on answering queries etc.
PS- Internet access was good and fast enough though wifi reception on some areas was not that great but still good. There are apparently some desktops on offer too with Internet access.

The entrancing Asty Hotel finds its position in one of Nicosias most wonderful and quiet residential sites. However it is a …More
In Nicosia on business, this small friendly hotel, excellently located in the old part of town close to shops bars and restaurants, was perfect. I could not fault it and will definitely stay there again.
Hotel is conveniently located within driving distance to the centre of Nicosia. The people are nice, and the facilities fine, but sound proofing is not very good (can hear every flush for rooms around and traffic noise).
For business travellers wanting to stay in Nicosia, this is still the best and most convenient option. It is in the city centre on the edge of the old town with lots of restaurants, cafes and other facilities in the area. The bus station is directly opposite as is one of the town's municipal car parks. I would agree that some of the rooms and public spaces would benefit from some maintenance and renovation. However, Cyprus has been going through an economic crisis for the last few years which has affected all business sectors. The rooms are much larger than any of other hotels in the area and equally well appointed. I have tried some of the other hotels and always return to the Nicosia City Center. As a known and repeat guest, I always get extremely good service and many of the original staff who were there the first time I stayed there in 1996 are still there.
Nicosia, the multicultural capital of Cyprus, is divided into the Greek Cypriot area in the south and the smaller Turkish Cypriot area in the north. The heart of the city is the old quarter, encircled by a 16th-century Venetian wall with a moat. Within, the narrow streets are lined with shops and cafés. Outside, modern Nicosia bustles with office buildings, museums and nightlife.
