"Embassy Suites does not have a designated parking lot. There are free lots but I was attending the Bob Dylan concert (sold out) and the Rockford IceHogs hockey team were playing. I prepaid at the Concourse Parking Garage which is .4 miles away from the Embassy. The venue hosting the concert said finding parking would be competitive. I was glad to get parking close and my stay was wonderful at the Embassy Suites. The rooms are beautiful, quiet, clean & the staff was very nice. They have two restaurants. There are very few place to eat between the theatre and hotel. They have a breakfast which is included and the dining area is very clean and you are not cramped in sitting next to everyone-lots of space. This was a very good experience and went well with the excellent concert."

"They dont seem to clean the hotel. Dirty bathroom, hair in sink and on floor. Trash still in room at check in. Hotel in general is dated and needs a makeover. Ended up leaving and not staying.. Wont be back."

"When booking this room I had specifically asked if there was a hot tub and they had said yes but there is not one. Also had asked if they do rides to the casino also said yes but they don’t. Waited in line for a long time on checking into hotel, need more then one person during “peak hours” otherwise it was good. "

"We had to go to the gas station to get a bottle of water to take meds. None on site and machine was broken. Couldn’t change the room temperature so we finally just opened the window. "

"The condition of the property is run down at best. The rooms have been updated as cheaply as possible. The air conditioning and heating systems are so loud you can’t sleep, and they look 100 years old. The outside area isn’t maintained at all. It’s loud, especially because it’s by a hospital. There is a fridge and microwave but the fridge is barely cold and doesn’t have even a tiny freezer. The owner/manager was beyond rude. I understand this is an older property and inexpensive to stay at but that doesn’t mean it can’t be decent and the people running it can’t be kind. The yelled at me for booking through Expedia because now they have to pay them a commission. I tried to pay them cash and they charged me more than what Expedia did, of course I’m going to book via Expedia then. I stayed a week but had to continue my stay three times due to how I was able to pay for the room. Each time they charged me extra because then I needed to check in “early”. Because I rebooked the same room they wanted to me leave that room at 11 am (checkout) & come back at 3 pm (check in). I of course didn’t have to do that if I paid them a extra $15-$30 a day. I have NEVER ever done that at a hotel. Early check in fee sure, but NOT when I rebook the same room.The manager/owner then proceeded to rudely tell me it was $30 to check in at 11am instead of say 2pm which is when I paid only $15. I nicely asked how was I supposed to know that when it’s not written anywhere or mentioned? Do. Not. Book. Here."
