Really good location for train station but also a short walk from the beach. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good with a decent selection. I managed to get one of the 6 parking spaces which was ideal - although, they will direct you to alternative parking if it is full. I did find the bed a bit hard - other than that a really good stay.

Best Western Hôtel Lakmi Nice was absolutely the perfect choice for my husband and my 4-night stay in Nice. We wanted somewhere walkable to the Nice-Ville train station as well as the Promenade des Anglais and we chose this hotel for a combination of location, room choices, and price. The hotel is also an easy tram ride from the airport and right by all the other metro options and we felt safe in the area even late at night. The entire staff was extremely nice, helpful, and professional and our room couldn’t have been more comfortable. We opted for a room with an outside balcony and enjoyed a glass of wine in the evenings while watching the activity below. We appreciated the questionnaire we received in advance of our arrival from Sarah Jeanroy asking if there was anything she could help us with or arrange for during our stay. She sent us a list of restaurants based on our preferences which we put to good use. It was a nice touch. After spending our days exploring Nice and taking various day trips on the train, we always looked forward to settling into our comfortable room for an excellent night’s sleep. Beware that there is a tram line right outside of the hotel which could be heard in our room, but the tram doesn’t run all night and the windows are double-paned, so the tram bell didn’t bother us. Remember, you’re in the city with city noises, but everything is so convenient and it’s part of the experience. We were thrilled with Hôtel Lakmi and would absolutely stay

Great staff and great stay!
After our 12 day cruise, my husband and I had an overnight stay before flying back home to the U.S. The staff was amazingly helpful. The hotel was just a few blocks from the promenade and only a block from the tram we took to the airport. We were able to buy our tram tickets from the front desk at face value with no surcharge. This was a great convenience and a very nice touch. The room was clean and comfortable with a cute balcony. The only thing I would change is the pillows. They were square, small, and a bit flat. That was a very minor note for an otherwise perfect stay. Thanks again for the great stay and very helpful staff!

I didn’t like air conditioning didn’t work my room. I smelled like strange smelly like toilet. I paid for 4 day’s breakfast at arrival day. Hotel staff said she gave me discount to$8 per one breakfast. I paid for $32 up front. Then I checked out hotel, front guy said you didn’t pay for breakfast!

Staff were super friendly and our request was accommodated along with recommendations of things to do/restaurants. A little loud at night with the hotel being positioned on the main avenue but still slept well. Really close to the tram stop. Shower over the bath was a bit low for a tall person!

Friendly staff. Extremely clean room and bathroom. Room a little too warm even with AC on. Comfortable king bed (room 412). Nice little balcony. Good double pane window protecting from outside street noise. Perfectly convenient location downtown, walking distance to everything and tramway.

We stayed here for 2 nights while visiting Nice for the first time to celebrate our anniversary. We were pleasantly surprised by the hospitality provided by this hotel. Coming from the US, Best Western doesn’t have the strong brand reputation…but this place completely changed my view. Location was perfect - 8 mins walk from the train station and located right on the Main Street with access to the tram. There is a small parking lot in front of the hotel which makes loading/unloading easy. The staff was amazing - friendly and helpful. They surprised us with a bottle of Prosecco and desserts for our anniversary celebration. We were able to enjoy the present on our balcony watching the city transform itself into the evening. The room was small - but it is on par with the hotels in France so far. The shower was really nice with the rainfall design but I only wished that there were some shelves inside the shower. Breakfast buffet was another highlight with the freshly squeezed Orange juice! I definitely got enough vitamin C during my stay. The hotel was well kept with a lounge area in the lobby for all day coffee/tea. There was only one small elevator for 5 floors, so we took advantage of the stairs next to it whenever we get. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a pleasant and comfortable stay in Nice!

Very clean and large rooms. Great view from balcony and open windows. All amenities you need right on the street, but keep in mind it is a little walk to the promenade and old town nice. Within walking distance for sure, but only if you don’t mind walking around for a little while.

They had made a mistake when we booked our room and did not make it accessible. They quickly and professionally fixed the mistake and got us into an accessible room.

Excellent staff in a very good location. The breakfast buffet was more than adequate to start your day. Staff always willing to handle your questions in a very positive manner and really wanted us to enjoy our Nice adventure. Once you got used to the church bells and tram noise (usually quiet after 2300hrs to 0600hrs), it is centrally located to many areas of interest. Nice is a walking city as we did up to 21,000 steps on some days but as little as 12,500 on the lower end. Again this hotel has great staff from the front desk, to the room attendants to the brakfast staff, all first rate!

I highly recommend staying at Hotel Lakmi! It’s in a great location with shops and restaurants around and an easy walk to the beach and Old Nice. The balcony views were wonderful, the room was very clean and I have to say that the staff was absolutely incredible. We came for our honeymoon/anniversary and they made sure we had everything we needed. Loan checked us in and she was amazing with suggestions and so helpful! We really appreciated knowing she was there to assist with any questions we had! Will be staying there again in the future!

I’m not sure where to begin, so let’s start with the positive…. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast room was nice and there was enough variety to satisfy most everyone. When we arrived at the hotel I had a look at the room before checking in, it was very small so we asked the desk person to inquire about an upgrade. Since it was late in the evening we thought we would hear back the next day. Both the Monaco Grand Prix and Cannes film festival were on, and it was busy, however there was no response to our request either way and I wasn’t about to remind them. The bed was too short, I’m 6’2” and my feet hung off the end of the bed, very uncomfortable. The rooms are non-smoking, however it doesn’t stop people from smoking on their room balconies. If you have your windows open for fresh air you may not get it! The hotel location is at the corner of a very busy street, if you choose to have your windows open at night be prepared for the noise. The bath towels need to be checked for holes. Some of the towels were so thin they ripped well being used. The last thing is the toilet, not something I usually write about in a review. The seat had been replaced but was incompatible with the toilet, hence it slid from side to side making it very uncomfortable!! Unfortunately neither the staff or general manager as nice as they were could make up for the inadequacies of the property. We spent ten nights here.

Pros: Good location, right in the city centre. Shops as well as good restaurants at a stone's throw. Pleasant and helpful reception staff who go out of their way. Train station about 7 minutes walk. Not expensive. Cons: Thin walls, poor noise insulation. The city centre can get noisy on weekend nights, disturbing sleep.

Birthday Trip
It was my annual birthday treat. With our surprise, we had a very warm welcome with lovely cakes, small gifts and a birthday card on our arrival. That made both me and my partner feel so happy and we were glad to choose this hotel to stay all 4nights of our trip. I suddenly had to leave after 2nights with family emergency but I was told later that they had looked after my partner very well who stayed behind. Thank you so much for everything. we will be back again!!

Nice hotel stay
Very nice hotel and in a great location , safe and clean. Rooms were lovely and definitely stay there again. Very reasonable price too.

Good value hotel.
Easy to reach from the airport on the No.2 tram and only costs €1.50 or €10 for a ticket of 10 journeys. Hotel is situated in the shopping area and a 10 minute walk to the beach. Rooms were quite small but very clean with all we needed for our stay. Breakfast was included in our rate and there were choices of fruit juice, cereals, breads and pastries, eggs, tea, coffee and hot chocolate. The only problem we had was the WiFi which was unreliable and kept on cutting out. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Would stay here again if we came back to Nice
