"The hotel was clean and well maintained, it felt very welcoming and had a buzz about it that we liked . The dining room was lovely, as was the meal we had on Saturday afternoon. Although we really didn’t enjoy the breakfast, both the sausage and bacon was over cooked."

"Only down side for me is no lift or easy access for disabled people and the only ground floor toilet (which was for the disabled) was not very clean. Otherwise I loved the hotel."

"The castle is amazing, such a wonderful place to stay. Alex in the bar provided excellent service both to me and all other visitors making their experience a joy. I would definitely recommend, the restaurant staff need to bring the same level of care and service as the bar, being on my own they didn’t think about where best to sit me in the restaurant and seemed annoyed when I wasn’t ready to order. Just small things make the difference to an experience. Overall wonderful and so much history to absorb"
