      Warm welcome and friendly

We stayed for 2 nights. All the staff were friendly and helpful. A table was automatically reserved for us for our 1st night to dine there if we wanted. We did eat there and thoroughly enjoyed our meal and our breakfasts. The room was comfy, clean and tidy.

      Very friendly

We were made to feel very welcome. The Landlord and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. The quality of the food served is very high and we noted that the food delivery vans were all local (No sign of the refrigerated trucks of the mass-market catering suppliers). Highly recommended.

Quintessential historical pub b&b, best bacon!!

Really enjoyed my brief stay here- cool old pub (apparently circa 1329) with modern facilities, spacious if not glamourous room, I slept well. Cosy pub downstairs with wifi (if you sit by the window or pop outdoors) and even a bit of 3G reception. Really friendly helpful staff, and the bacon at breakfast was possibly the best I've ever eaten! Wish I'd been a bit longer!
