Little House is perfect for this because it’s closer to The Needles than Moab, and Monticello has a grocery store and several gas stations. Communication with the host was timely and helpful, especially because I needed a package delivered to the address. The property is safe and snug, very quiet, tucked behind the “Main House,” and separated by a tall fence. Little House has a 2-burner hot plate, a small sink, a small refrigerator and freezer, and a microwave. Two in-wall electric heaters (one in the bedroom, one in the living room) kept me warm during December/January. Wi-fi is smoking fast, so it’s great for catching up on work. Nearby, Loyd’s Lake provides a 2 mile gravel hiking path around the lake, with nice views and vault bathrooms. National forest land is just up the road (literally up…8,000 feet) from Monticello. This was a great place to stay as a home base from which to explore the beautiful area."
