We would have liked more hanging hooks in the bathroom as the weather was wet at times and we had a lot to dry.

Gem of a Hotel in Cornwall
Great Hotel with the best staff. Room was stunning with a sea view . We even went for a dip in the heated pool. Breakfast was very tasty and such big portions .

Towels on floor were not changed.

Thank you for your 5 star rating and we apologise that there was a misunderstanding with regard to the towels not being changed. We do ask guests to leave their towels in the bath/shower if fresh ones are required. It appears our housekeeping team took this too literally and this is the reason they were hung up on the heated towel radiator. We are sorry for this misunderstanding.

Hotel and area met up with expectations as I had stayed there in 2009. Within easy reach of Newquay town centre and lots of attractions like The Eden Project.

Super friendly staff made us feel very welcome on arrival. Really nice room, perfect for me and my two children. Location was perfect. It was just a stones throw from the closest beach. We will be back.

Wow wow wow
Check in was really efficient, lady was do friendly. Hotel is imacculate , not a sign of ANY dust or cobwebs. Right on the beach, i stay at many hotels and this is one of the best, especially for rhe cost.

Hotel has a great setting for access to local beaches and the more extensive coastal path. Outside lawn area has some nice views over Porth Beach. Small swimming pool also looked great and will try that next visit

I stayed for 3 nights in a small single room with a comfortable bed, but thin pillows, desk & chair, 32" TV on wall, but no a/c and in-room no safe. Good shower, but it is mounted too low on the wall if you're taller than 5'6". The free WiFi performed well. Poor cleaning - I found long hairs in the bathroom, and stepped on another person's toenail on the floor by the bed. The continental breakfast has a very limited selection (cereal, yogurt, bread/toast, marmalade/jam, pastries, only orange juice, tea & coffee) - the hot breakfast was very good, but costs extra if it isn't included in your room rate. This hotel's biggest asset is the polite, friendly and helpful staff. Note that the hotel has no lift, and there is no signal on the O2 network here. It is in a quiet location about 20 minutes walk to Newquay town centre.

I indulged myself with a luxury room including a lovely window-corner and a great bathroom . Walking to the centre /busstation along the probably busiest street in Truro is the only negative aspect of this location .

The location was the best part of our stay. The room was very spacious and we didn’t feel cramped at all. The shower/tub combo with a shower head was a bit odd in that it had a half enclosure of glass that did NOT keep the floors from getting wet every time we used it. Would most likely return but might look at the apartments/villas instead

A Bad Nights Sleep
Overall the trip was fine, but it was let down by a noisy fan running untill well past midnight on both nights of our stay. We mentioned it to reception after our fisrt night and were informed we were in one of the rooms that suffered from this, but they'd try to ensure it was switched off the next night, but it wasn't. This kept us awake and the Hotel has no night staff on duty to get things like this fixed.

Very nice hotel.
Staff were excellent, and the hotel is very nice. No issues with parking. Restaurant was very nice, with excellent view. The room was a little small (single room), and got a bit of noise from the kitchen downstairs. About a 10 minute walk to any shops, but also only a 5 minute drive to the main centre of Newquay, so not so bad. Near a main route out of town if you want to visit the area, and hotel is still on a quiet road, which is a good combination.

The hotel was pretty. The location was terrible for out of country visitors without a car. Newquay was a 2 mile walk and impossible in inclement weather. There was nothing to eat at the hotel between breakfast and dinner. The photos on the internet are old. Lots of construction going on. The “sea view” refers to a tiny strip of ocean about 3 miles away. The manager didn’t acknowledge us after the first day when we asked to leave and get a refund. The food was mediocre.
