The property is in such a poor state, need revamp. The rooms are small and shabby with thin walls. The washroom tiles are chipping. While one particular receptionist was kind and tried helping as much as she could, the staff in general seemed less prepared to answer qs on things to do in newquay and how to reach. The property is in such poor state- it shouldnt ask for the money it does.

The hotel is in a great location. The room was good and clean. We could not sleep in due to a building site next to our room so that did overshadow our experience however we were offered a different room after mentioning it to reception but as it was a room that was outdated we decided to stay in our original room and we were instead offered a discount. If you like to sleep in like us, you need to ensure you are far away from the building site or wait until that building site is over with before booking this hotel. The reason for our visit was my birthday and I had emailed the hotel prior arrival mentioning this, I have mentioned a few times whilst there as they had my cake refrigerated and it was a bit disappointing they did not do anything with this information. As a 3* hotel manager myself, when one of our guests celebrates a birthday we at least send a card or a free drink. They completely missed out on this opportunity for above and beyond customer service. Apart from this they were helpful with everything else. If you will celebrate your birthday there do not expect any gesture from the hotel team they will completely ignore it. I would return because of location and the room was actually nice. Apart from ignoring the bday occasion, customer service was good each time we engaged.

Was delighted with the affort the hotel and staff have put in to making the hotel covid secure. I felt very safe during my stay and the hotel and room was very clean
