"Convenient Location"
A superb recently built hotel with well appointed tastefully decorated rooms. Beds very comfortable, bathroom design impressive. View from higher floors over countryside and Severn really nice. Ideal for a quick stop and don't be put off by the close proximity of the M4 as the rooms are build of a standard that does not allow any road noise. The staff were also very welcoming which ultimately makes a good hotel and the breakfast was varied and fresh, who could ask for more, well done Hampton I will be back !!

"Place we always fancied staying at...."
Very good stay. Offered and accepted upgrade to a room in the old wing but unfortunately problem with shower/bath. Hotel staff very helpful but no hot water then till following morning. Breakfast excellent and cooked to order. All inclusive use of spa facilities was a bonus. Beautiful grounds and spacious parking.

"Usual good standards"
I've always found Ibis Budget (formerly Etap) hotels to be an excellent standard wherever they are, including abroad. Newport is no exception, clean rooms , friendly staff, good wi-fi......just what you want a hotel to be. They are probably better suited to the worker, or for short stays, not so much for spending a week's holiday in. The main drawback with the Newport hotel is that it is right next to the M4, which doesn't bother a heavy sleeper like myself but would trouble light sleepers.

"Excellent customer service"
Staff were excellent, really went out of there way to make sure everything was in order. Hotel very functional and acceptable. From a personal view the bed was not as I would have chosen it was too "springy" I would have preferred a firmer matress. All that said I would very happily visit again.

"Professional and honest owner"
Room was as described, clean and a good location. The owner, Barry, had a lot of integrity and pride in his establishment. He has professional experience in the service industry and it shows through. One of the few UK B&B's we stayed at in 20 nights with a top sheet! The way it should be done but often isn't.

"The manager is really nice and helpful!"
After we joined the Bristol Balloon Fiesta, we planed to get to Wales, ao we booked the hotel in Newport. When we arrived at the hotel, it seemed close to 2 am. and it was raining. However, the manager was so nice and friendly to organize our rooms and checked in. The next day, he did dinner for us, which is also good! If my friedns or myself will go to Newport next time, i will recommende this very econimic hotel to them and myself!
