"Large hotel with many facilities, close to M4"
Stayed for one night in a superior bedroom. Impressed by standard of furnishing which included two comfortable arm chairs. Staff were very efficient and friendly. The main car park is some way from the hotel but there I a frequent minibuses service.

Very friendly staff. Nice to see a hotel encouraging younger staff members to develop through training. Some of the furniture in the communal area looks tired but this is not the case in the room. The room was very warm and altering the thermostat did not appear to change the temperature. We did not make a big deal out of this as the whole visit was pleasant. The evening meal in the restaurant was well cooked and concentrated in the importance of local produce. The breakfast was not of the same standard and although okay and plenty of it, the taste was not as good.

"Place we always fancied staying at...."
Very good stay. Offered and accepted upgrade to a room in the old wing but unfortunately problem with shower/bath. Hotel staff very helpful but no hot water then till following morning. Breakfast excellent and cooked to order. All inclusive use of spa facilities was a bonus. Beautiful grounds and spacious parking.

"Comfortable and friendly"
I had trouble finding it as I couldn't see any exterior signage, although it was dark and raining so there could have been something small or unlit. I then had trouble finding the front door, which is rather insignificant and not clearly a main entrance. Just a big sign over or by it saying "reception" or "way in" would help. Friendly welcome, pleasant room with high quality fittings. Bathroom basin was the major issue, a shelf-type affair only an inch or two deep and with no plug. The tap produced only a thin dribble of water. I timed it - twenty seconds to fill a glass of water! Looked very classy but wholly impractical, with no way of soaking anything, for example to rinse out a pair of tights. No soap dish in the shower. Some road noise but not excessive. On my second night there was a lot of noise from other rooms, with the sound of voices being clearly heard well into the small hours. I would happily stay again, but would look around first to see what else is available.

Nice clean hotel and overall very pleasant atmosphere. Booked room for 1 Adult 1 child and when they realised the second bed had not been put up in advance, were profusely apologetic and immediately sorted the issue out. Breakfast included all options and was well prepared.

"Professional and honest owner"
Room was as described, clean and a good location. The owner, Barry, had a lot of integrity and pride in his establishment. He has professional experience in the service industry and it shows through. One of the few UK B&B's we stayed at in 20 nights with a top sheet! The way it should be done but often isn't.
