As with other reviews, the property was very clean. Private and a lovely porch that could be accessed both from the living room and the bedroom. The negatives: we slept on the couch the second night. The bed is very hard. We had a better nights sleep from the couch. The bathroom sink drains very slow. The microwave handle is completely broken at the bottom and will probably break completely off soon. Lastly, the kitchen has very limited supplies. The owner has put in a lot of effort to make it a comfortable place. Temperature-wise, it is about 15 degree cooler than major cities in NC like Charlotte and Raleigh. One minor issue we had was that the Wi-fi wasn't very reliable. In some hours it was working fine, but in others I would lose connectivity every few minutes. There probability isn't anything anyone could do about it. I never had to use the landline, but I was definitely glad to know it was there considering that we were in the woods with zero wireless signal. The owner listed fishing as one of the activities in the area. When making the reservation, I included in my message a question about whether there were places she could recommend. I never received a response. That was a little disappointing. ##### Yang C. It was farther away from the games than we thought when booking (never judge by miles, in the mountains). However, the shuttle ran from Avery High School, just a 15-min drive from the cabin, and the lines for that particular shuttle were significantly shorter than the others. So, the location actually turned out to be a plus. There are no eateries or convenience stores right around the cabin and for my fellow flatlanders: the roads are challenging! I was happy to have a 4-wheel drive. Know how to manually downshift! I gave my aunt the bedroom and brought an air mattress for the living room. As there is no tv in the living room, it was not a big deal for it to be treated as a 2nd bedroom. In retrospect, the sectional would have sufficed nicely for a single sleeper. AC worked great. Plenty of hot water for back-to-back showers and decent pressure to boot. We also used the washer & dryer without issue. ##### Donya M.
