A really lovely place and enjoyable stay

What lovely hosts Angus and Louise were, they couldn't do enough to make our stay special and even gave us a lift into the local village on the first night so that we could have a couple of drinks with dinner. We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay. We have never stayed in a farm house b&b previously and I was slightly apprehensive to begin with and had only booked it due to the location being near to Beamish open air museum where we had planned to visit, all that I can say was that I'm so pleased that I did book it, I was totally impressed. We were greeted with a pot of tea and homemade cake and when we arrived at our room, it was well stocked with more homemade cake, fresh milk for the tea and coffee which is provided and also a bottle of water. The bed was huge and terrifically comfortable, the towels were big and fluffy and there was also bathrobes for our use. Would definitely recommend and would not hesitate to re-book

Quiet location with great views.

Louise and Angus are very friendly and welcoming. The farmhouse is very comfortable but not updated, which gives it its charm. The room we stayed in was comfortable but a bit on the cold side, although there was a cold wind blowing on that side of the house - and a hailstorm during the night. There was a good selection of food for breakfast and plenty of tea and coffee on offer. To get to the farm, it's ONE MILE from the road (drive past the first farm buildings at the half mile point) along a single track lane. The ideal vehicles though are a 4 x 4 or a tractor :-) but we managed it in our Mazda. From the farm it's a short drive to Beamish, again along narrow lanes and there are several pubs within a short drive. There are several walks around the area too.
