Quiet hotel with friendly staff

Posted 15-Dec-2017
Pros: The staff on reception and in the lounge/breakfast restaurant were attentive and friendly. Lots of choice for breakfast options - good quality.
Cons: Radiator in the room could have been being slightly larger as it was on full but the room was cool. It was a cold night so ordinarily it would be fine
We stayed for one night and would recommend this hotel as it is in a quiet location, the staff were friendly, our room was spacious and the whole hotel was very clean. The bed, despite being described as a double was massive, and really comfortable.

Thank you for your review of the hotel, great to hear you enjoyed your stay. Sorry you experienced trouble with the temperature in the room, usually the radiators are more than adequate for the size of the room, however in extremely cold weather we are happy to provide an extra heater in the room if requested. We hope to welcome you back soon. Kind Regards.

New night porter was very nice.

Posted 10-Nov-2017
I was only there for a couple of nights and it was for a wedding down the road. But the night porter was very nice, after checking me in he served late drinks to me and my friends. And he dealt with one’s drunken behaviour very well. He was welcoming and the room was nice. I enjoyed the breakfast in the morning and when I asked for an iron it was left outside my room while I took a shower. Overall, a good stay but I don’t know what there is locally. Seemed a little remote but worked for me. Might be nice surroundings but I didn’t get much chance to explore.

Autumn Break

Posted 02-Nov-2017
Pros: Rooms. ambience ,excellent food.
Location: Beamish Museum. Newcastle shopping.
This was our second visit to this hotel. Once again we were not disappointed in either staff or accommodation. On our arrival we were given a upgraded room to our surprise. Extremely nice room which we didn't have to pay for. will stay again.

Convenient for family wedding close by

Shower was scorching hot or did not run at all. Very pricey for the standard of room and breakfast. Large double bed was two singles clipped together which separated when you lay down. Patio doors to parking space was very convenient

Nice hotel near Beamish.

Posted 07-Oct-2017
Pros: Modern rooms and clean.
Cons: Couple bottles of water in room too.
Location: Close by to Beamish Museum and Metro Centre, and easy acces to Newcastle City Centre.
Very enjoyable stay. Lovely clean hotel with very pleasant helpful staff. Comfortable modern clean rooms. Though tea/coffee in rooms, but maybe could do with couple bottles of water too. Good variety of breakfast to choose from. Overall excellent stay, definitely recommend.
