Nice, quiet friendly hotel staff.

Pros: Friendly staff and clean room.
Cons: ?
Location: Set out of the way from the busy main roads but only a five minute drive to chester le street shops.
Short overnight stay but made to feel really welcome with good facilities, the hotel was also being used for a wedding the next day so looked beautifully prepared, we would definitely stay there again.

Stayed one night. Loved the fact that I could park right outside my patio door. Very quiet and comfortable. Would stay there again.

Family trip to Beamish.

Room (number 23) rather dated in appearance. Dark walls & furniture made it feel rather oppressive. However, patio doors onto individual parking space was very handy for loading & unloading. The staff were exceptionally friendly & helpful & the location close to Beamish is fantastic. Food good & reasonable value.

Hotel stop over for a wedding

Posted 04-Oct-2014
Pros: The room was lovely with nice heavy curtains to keep the room dark.
Cons: The room isn't really tailored for those with long hair. The hair dryer needs upgrading and there wasn't a towel for my hair either!
Location: We visited for a wedding.
We stayed here for a wedding. The room was comfortable and we had the option to park our car directly outside of the room. The bathroom was good and the shower had pretty good power to it. The little tea pot made me happy. There was a lack of towels provided with only only a bath towel and hand towel each. Made drying my long hair quite difficult especially with the under powered hair dryer. I am just glad it was warm so I could leave it wet. The staff on the front desk were really helpful and helped with everything that we needed and even suggested things we had forgotten.
