Hotel was convenient and serviceable

Posted 15-May-2017
Pros: See above
Cons: See above
Location: Down town so very convenient for soccer fans, clubbers etc
2 problems - one of the 2 lifts was out of action for all of my stay - delays inevitable. Second, no hot water in the morning - a cold shave and shower omitted.

Tired hotel needs refurbishing

Posted 13-May-2017
Hotel bar/restaurant was like a very tacky nightclub. Hotel needs a serious overhaul. Rooms were clean and tidy, but decor needs updating. Bar area was cheap looking and worn out.

Great hotel opposite St James Park

Posted 10-May-2017
Pros: I liked everything about this hotel, one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in.
Cons: nothing stands out as needing improvement.
Location: Newcastle city center what more can i say, every type of entertainment from night clubs, great restaurants lively pubs and bars to theatre's.
The hotel was perfect, great bar excellent for people watching. Room was comfortable, quiet and very clean but maybe a bit on the small side. The breakfast was good but a bit disorganized. we stayed there the night before an Newcastle united match so very busy, but this did not detract from customer service or cleanliness.

Quiet room, but Hen Do central

Posted 05-May-2017
Pros: The rooms were really well insulated and quiet.
Cons: The price of breakfast is very high. Dinner in a loud club was not our cup of tea either. There were plenty of other choices in the area though.
Location: NC stadium next door, movie theatre and mall two blocks walk, many good restaurants.
The location was good and room was very nice. There were multiple Hen Do's going on in the hotel so some drunk knocks on our door in the middle of the night - wrong room clearly. Area was also a college area, so it seemed like a wild college town on many levels. It's a good place to have a night out, but not to really relax.

City Centre Location

Posted 25-Apr-2017
Pros: Location Clean
Cons: Maybe better/ a few more tea and coffees in the room.
Location: Central. Close to the main shopping centre.
Wanted to stay near to my daughter who lives in the student accommodation next door, so perfect. Could park across the road in the council car park from check in to check out at a cost of £8.00 which made life easier. The rooms itself was stylish and clean and had a nice bathroom.

Ideally located, lacks quality.

Posted 14-Apr-2017
Stayed for one Saturday night, chose it due to its star rating and great location; directly opposite St Janes' Park - fantastic! The hotel itself is fine but is let down by trying to be too trendy and the design is not at all of quality - it will date very quickly, looks like a nightclub in places, e.g. the morning breakfast area which at night is a sports bar. Suits persons who are going to watch The Lads, and party down the Big Market afterwards.

The hotel and staff were great. We'll be using this hotel, next time we need to stay in Newcastle.

Disappointing 4 star hotel

Posted 04-Apr-2017
Location is very good, close to city centre. Lots of traffic and noise as next to Newcastle United and busy bar open until late. No bath or wardrobe in rooms and only one working lift which takes forever. Not good value for money, although staff were friendly and breakfast was good.
