Good central location

Pros: Central location, short walk from the train station, good room size.
Location: Had a lovely afternoon tea in the Hilton & a satisfying good value meal in The Quayside Weatherspoons. Near the river for walks.
Good customer service from bar staff & reception. Unfortunately our room lock was broken when we arrived but we were given a new room on the same floor quickly so we were still close to our friends room. We were also given a complimentary drink at the bar as compensation. Our room wasn't serviced the next day but this may have been due to the last minute change of room.

Friendly, clean hotel close to City Centre but still quiet location. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Really enjoyed my stay there.

In the centre of town

We used this as a base for shopping, eating & bars. Room was good size, bed very comfy, bathroom was a bit dated. But for price was very reasonable never book for luxury however.

nice hotel and good breakfast

Me and my wife stayed 2 night at hotel, the hotel location is good (By walk: 1 min to coach station, 3 min train station ) the room was nice and quit. Staff are very helpful and breakfast was very good too. Overall 10/10.

Excellent Newcastle hotel - but also very noisy

Pros: Location, facilities, staff, price.
Cons: As outlined above, they need more night staff to patrol the hotel and prevent noisy multi-room parties after the clubs close at about 4.30am
This is a very nice hotel in a good location for Newcastle city centre. The rooms are excellent and good size. Staff are very efficient and friendly. So far so good. Unfortunately if you stay here on a weekend you are unlikely to get any sleep. The Jury's Inn, like many other Newcastle city centre hotels, is used by the large number of clubbers who come and go throughout the night and who are not bothered about being quiet in the hotel corridors or rooms. A shame really as the hotel is otherwise great value. Maybe it is less noisy during the week and I will give it one more chance.

Good location but very rude member of staff

When I returned to the hotel after being out I was asked by security to show my key card. The man on reception said he would not authorise my friend staying as there name wasn't down, he then proceeded to question us about our relationship which was very embarassing. I had been told when I checked in I could just register a guest later on. I told this to the man on reception but he continued to be very rude.
