Spacious rooms are the outstanding feature.

Pros: Rooms are spacious, quite a bit larger than some rival chains.
Cons: Check-in and check-out are unusually protracted processes no matter what time you arrive or leave. It's almost as if no one has ever done this before
Location: Central-ish, Newcastle is a compact city centre anyway. Most features are within ten minutes walk.
I stay in this hotel three nights a week on business. If you get a room facing into the courtyard it's quiet unless you have people coming back at 2am am and slamming doors. That's hardly the hotel's fault although the door damping mechanisms seem to have given up the ghost. I wouldn't bother joining their club. It provides no features with any benefit to the customer. I have to repeat the information supposedly stored in my profile every week. It does not get you cheaper rates. I get regular emails from Jury's telling me how I will save by booking direct. So far without exception it is always cheaper to book via one the cartel operators. They can guarantee to be the cheapest because they have colluded with the others to set minimum rates.

Ideal for O2 Arena concerts

Pros: Close to 02 Arena
Cons: Nothing
Location: 10 minute walk to Railway station, and main shops, close to the Life centre, and ideal for concerts at the Arena.
Hotel is only rated 3*, but I was pleasantly suprised at how clean and spacious it was. The bedroom was clean and well maintained, bathroom clean and had thick white towels. Breakfast was self service with a good selection of food for everyone. The multi storey carpark opposite gives a discount to hotel guests when the hotel stamps your carpark ticket. The arena is only a 5 minute walk from the hotel so it was nice to be through the crowds and back in the warm and not brave the traffic getting out of the car parks.

Very central

We had a family room which was on the corner overlooking the redheugh bridge. Very noisy from traffic all night, very cold drafts from the windows even though they are double glazed with extra glazed panels inside the double glazed windows. Not the best for families with young children

Fire Alarm Nightmare

Cons: Sort the fire alarm and train the staff to cover for the fire alarm if there is an evident fault - floor walks normally suffice.
Hotel is fine and much as I am all in favour of safety, the fire alarm went off at least a dozen times in the middle of the night causing a very disturbed night's sleep - exasperating. While once or at a stretch twice I would understand, going off so many times caused a very disturbed night's sleep and much as the price is good, it isn't worth it.

As per above and would definitely recommend. Hotel good, rooms clean and beds were so comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful all in all a great stay

Sheets had stains. Plug hole of bath was disgusting. Didn’t ask to have it cleaned I’m sure they would have but thought it have been in better condition for going in.
