Lovely place to stay, staff are very welcoming and friendly. Loved the room we stayed in with free standing bath and comfy bed. Only issue for me was the dustiness of the room. We will definitely be back again to stay and dine.

Absolutely LOVE this hotel!! Stayed here quite a few times already and every time my stay is fantastic. The rooms is very unique and beautifully decorated , amazing beds and always a bath that’s a statement- classy. The staff , especially Jonathan ( General Manager) , is so incredibly welcoming and no request is too much. By far the best hotel in Newcastle!

Wonderful setting in great former industrial building renovation with views over the Tyne. Far enough away from centre of town to be quiet, but still walkable to get to the centre.

We had a (modestly priced) upgrade and our room was delightful with a lavatory on the same floor as the bed and a beautiful Victorian bath and excellent rain shower in a huge cabinet on the gallery. We particularly like the decor throughout the hotel and were impressed by the breakfast. I imagine the central courtyard would be very pleasant in summer.

We felt the room was very average for the price paid. The service at breakfast this morning was poor. Service very slow. Waited 30 mins for a cup of coffee before getting my own from the coffee machine and waited 30 mins before breakfast order was taken. Clearly not enough staff to cater for the demand. Wouldn't recommend to a friend.

Great boutique hotel, lovely stay, but no parking
The rooms are really lovely and beds are comfortable, it's a nice place to stay and a unique experience with the double level bathrooms with standing bath. Downsides are the bath wasn't totally clean and had black stuff in it, and there was a lot of noise being close to the entry/stairs. Parking is also very limited and not monitored which isn't included on the listing. There is street parking at cost and with time limits around the corner but the area isn't great for this, the staff did try to alleviate concerns but came across as quite condescending. I wouldn't bring a car here if at all possible. The service in the bar was a bit slow but was very good, staff were attentive and quick to sort things out. It's a good night for a luxurious stay.

Thank you for you review although some aspects are a little confusing.There is car parking that is covered by CCTV and has 2 walks during the day and 2 walks during the night. This means that to date there’s been no issues with the parking and our guests. The parking is limited but this is mentioned on the website. There is also additional street parking locally that you mention. The black spots are just elements in the water that come from the location but this is rare and is no harm whatsoever. That baths are cleaned daily. The service from staffs good from your review but apologies if there were some elements that took longer than others. Regards

Celebratory night away following Champagne Afternoon Tea at the hotel, Views from the bedroom of the Tyne were breathtaking Check in managed efficiently Service by friendly and efficient staff in Bistro was very good. Well organised and quickly served breakfast Our only problem was the lack of parking nearby largely due to it being a converted industrial building

Beautiful conversion & repurposing of an old building in the Hotel du Vin individual style, particularly liked the courtyard and open air eating/ drinking option. Bar is pleasant with great cocktails. Room was fine but could do with updating soft furnishing…. toilet didn’t work well & broke on final morning.

Excellent Hotel
I picked this hotel purely on the reviews on Hotels.com and wasn't disappointed. We arrived about 12 noon and were given an early check-in (rather than 3pm). Car parking on site is limited, but there's plenty of other options nearby. Room was exactly as described / pictured on the website. We only ate breakfast at the hotel which was excellent. I'd highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Pleasant enough
Quirky room with a shower room and bath but the bed was so so uncomfortable. The lighting in the room was non-existent. Even the bathroom areas were extremely dim. Location is fine, however, parking is limited so parked 'illegally' in a Sports Club carpark with a risk of being clamped as there was no other parking around nearby. Evening meal was ok, but choices on the menu were limited unless you like steak or fish - there was only one chicken option AND all extremely expensive

Thank you for your review. Parking is limited at the hotel car park but there are ample other parking options locally. If there were any issues with your room we would have happily resolved this had we known. The lights are dimmerble so could be they were not up fully The menu has some excellent choices and a wide range of dishes at very competitive prices unless of course you are ordering more premium options such as fillets and scallops.Hopefully see you again soon.
