B&B in city centre with leisure facilities

Posted 16-Feb-2017
Pros: Position, bright modern feel, staff
Cons: Commercial:residential bias for pool
Location: The Quayside has lots of bars and restaurants to satisfy any need plus the Sage music venue and Baltic museum right there.
Very good b&b: comfy room, great view over Tyne and bridges, warm welcome, easy check-in/out, fast valet parking, pleasant bar and eating area, good breakfast. Small pool used for swimming lessons, gym users and residents which meant relaxing swim impossible. Arrived to find towels not supplied so had to pay £1/towel. good steam room.

Nice hotel with easy access to Newcastle nightlife

Posted 04-Feb-2017
Good rooms, good service at reception. However, phones not working and no room menu available. Eventually had to go down to arrange the room service. Didn't offer a change of room. If minor things are taken care of, it'll show an excellent level of customer care.

lovely place to stay

Posted 30-Jan-2017
We have stayed here a few times and I really love it here. This time we had a great room looking over the bridge. Staff are always so friendly and helpful. This time we took the dog and it was not a problem. Great time!

Posted 06-Dec-2016
Pros: Lovely breakfast
Cons: Level of noise from other guests - give option of quieter room at back of hotel maybbe
Location: Lots to do - central but be aware there is a hill to climb
Nice room, friendly staff but very noisy on corridors/outside at 3am

Pros: Good choice at breakfast
Cons: Cleanliness of the room. Air con was noisey. General decor of hotel looked tired. Some staff seemed half asleep and did not respond to requests
Location: Good location
Room was not clean, dusty and grubby floor. Staff generally were not that helpful, some looking bored. We stayed on the executive floor but the experience was far lacking. Would not waste my money again

Christmas shopping with my daughter

Posted 02-Dec-2016
Pros: The situation
Cons: Continental breakfast in the executive lounge. We arrived for breakfast at 9.45. There were no cleared tables, no clean crockery and very little food.
A very disturbed night with people making an awful lot of noise in the corridor when returning from a night out in Newcastle.

Lovely hotel overlooking the George bridge

Posted 27-Nov-2016
Pros: Most things. Professional and easy going.
Cons: Loo paper.
Location: Close to town just a short walk or taxi ride £5.
Very happy with our stay. Parking £12 per day, easy to do. A 15-20 min walk into Newcastle or pick up bus, taxi £5 very easy booked by concierge. Wifi arranged in room through reception. Breakfasts were lovely no problems. Staff helpful and courteous. Near all attractions especially The quays. Great to walk down and see the bridges and sit outside pub with a coffee…even in late November. Great shopping to do with Christmas markets. We went to Beamish with no problems at all….again very easy.
