Terrible experience from the get go. Took 6 phone calls back and forth to even try to get a early check in and even though we were willing to pay, no guarantee could happen. While we understand this, the experience and trying to resolve and work around this was just awful. We bought a River Tyne View Executive Room, the view of the 2 brick pillars was spectacular, the view, not so much. Not only that the room was basic, we wouldnt call it executive. There were stains all up the wall and on the carpets. Like there was zero effort to clean. The only reason we stayed here was purely because we did not want to waste the money we had spent. Will not be returning or recommending.

I stayed with my four year daughter in a family room. Room was a good size and clean. On our day of departure my daughter was given a little Hilton teddy by a member of staff,and the key to the executive lounge, she was delighted! She was told she was the boss, which made her feel very special and important! She still thinks she is the boss now....

First i dont agree with having to pay 12 pound parking per night after paying so much for a room. Then there was hair clumps on the floor. The air con unit was spitting black dust everywhere. The wooden beds meant everytime you moved they creaked like crazy (next rooms bed woke me up)

Everything about our stay was perfect.....early check-in ....lovely room with a great view...friendly helpful staff and fantastic breakfast .....enjoyed the leisure club facilities too - can't wait to return

Great location for Newcastle events

We chose the hotel for its location but were disappointed with a few things - especially compared to other Hiltons. The view from the room was... a concrete block! The top of the reception canopy. Shower was feeble. Breakfast involved a twenty minute queue - with NO MUSHROOMS!!

Well placed city centre hotel

Typical Hilton. Well placed with good parking. Well placed for attractions such as The Sage, Baltic and bars & restaurants in ewcase city centre. Experienced minor problems with in room safe and air con. Only had to mention it to front desk and staff readily compensated us with free parking

Pros: Nice hotel in a quiet area yet close to town center just a short walk across the bridge. Beautiful views and staff very friendly
Cons: Carpet in bedroom stained and air conditioning/heating very loud, unable to adjust fan, bed not comfortable
Satisfactory stay, short taxi ride from central station Newcastle

Great location! Very handy for working in the surrounding area! Want to explore...no problem! 5 min walk to Newcastle! Very friendly staff and comfy room...you just ask for a room with a view.." No problem Sir!" Can't recommend this hotel enough! Thank you to all the staff I met during my stay!
