"Our first time staying here at the SCL and we absolutely loved it. The entire ambiance of the lodge, the restaurant across the road, the staff at check in, gift shop and bar were all top notch. The Mountain View which provided us a direct line of the creek bed as well as both morning and evening wildlife just added to the experience. We can’t wait to come back again. The entire Black Hills experience is something to behold, and this resort only made it 10x better. Thank you SCL for making us feel comfortable and welcomed. "

"It was a good stay, outside of the people in the room next to ours. They were yelling and screaming for 4+ hours until almost 3am. I asked them politely twice if they could keep the noise down, so I could get to sleep and that didn't work. A call to the front desk finally fixed the problem. The hotel was absolutely great."

"This was, by far, the CLEANEST place I’ve ever stayed!!! The views from the deck were amazing! The hot tub was soooo awesome!!! WiFi was good for texting and some surfing but not necessarily for streaming. However, staff was very prompt to come check on it! We were there during the off season so it was super quiet and peaceful ♥️ We loved seeing all the deer and bunny rabbits!! "

"This was such a wonderful vacation and a beautiful room. The facilities are so well kept for their age. Our room was very spacious and the bed was excellent! The attention to details and great care of the facility showed in this wonderful site and in the rooms.The staff was also very kind and helpful with all of our questions. We will defenitely go back to this inn for another vacation."
