Great location for what we wanted. Nothing fancy. Friendly and helpful check-in. Very clean and well-presented room. Easy parking. Hotel bistro looks a good in-house dining option. Good value for Newcastle.

A very pleasant 2 night midweek stay. Lovely and clean and very quiet overnight (live music on the weekends may impact on that though). Parking is safe and convenient and staff are very friendly and helpful (thank you so much for lifting my too-heavy bag into the boot :-)) I travel to Newcastle regularly and would definitely stay again. Value for money.

Exceeded expectations
We had a fantastic stay! From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, everything was spot on. We booked to attend Elton John's concert. Being strangers to Newcastle, we studied the public transport being made available and decided that we'd have to book an Uber or equivalent. To our surprise and delight, the hotel made their courtesy bus available to all guests for a drop and return. The hotel restaurant opened early for the convenience of guests too. A huge well done and thank you from us, we will be back when we are next required to stay in Newy.

The motel was great nice and quiet in the rooms even when the bands were playing. Food was a great size and value for money. Only downside was very limited parking but would definitely stay there again

Not value for money
Access to the hotel is a disaster. Check in is in the corner of a shop. Rooma are on second floor. Some of them just above a bar. Windows does not open at all which made us unsafe in case of fire. Parking was away from the property and acess either around the building og through a basement, shared with a bar. Room was nice and clean. Small though. Way too overpriced according to value. Wont come back.

We stayed for the purpose of being close to the hospital and other medical facilities. Very friendly, helpful AND clean. Great staff. We will need to use it again in the near future. We won’t hesitate.

Reception lady was very friendly and did a great job with showing/explaining the most convoluted logistics of any place I’ve been over many years! Room a little stuffy as ventilation not great, but improved with A/C on. Restaurant was very, very disappointing! Worst pub meal I’ve had in memory! 😖

Loved being close to Blackbutt reserve. The area is not otherwise very pedestrian friendly. footpaths and crossings were often hard to find.

Had a very comfortable stay here. Great staff, very friendly and helpful. So convenient with bistro/bar/newsagent/bottle shop just downstairs. Food in bistro and breakfast to room was excellent. Only improvements would be new pillows, power points in my room were oddly positioned and a shame the window doesn't open for fresh air. Overall a great place to stay with everything you need at your fingertips. Will be happy to book here again.

Clean rooms, great service.
Very friendly staff. Helped with local area and hotel facilities. Assisted with an extra night on a busy weekend when Hotels.com couldn't book my room. 1 minor gripe, they don't make the bed with housekeeping.

Stayed in room 3 which was a quieter area around the back. I was greeted professionally and given my room keys which also activate the lift so security seems good. The fact that the front desk is in a shop was a bit weird, seemed a bit "country western" more than "Best Western" but wasn't a terrible set up. When I arrived in my room I didn't see why this was the 'deluxe' Queen room I booked until I saw some of the other rooms I had walked past while housekeeping were tending to them, they looked a little dated. I think my room was deluxe only because of the furniture trims, so I'm glad I paid the same rate as the standard room cost. From my room there was an exit to the car park situated across the hall. I'm not sure I was allowed to exit this way to be honest but as there were no signs, I didn't think it would be an issue. However at the bottom of the stairs there was discarded furniture, blocking the way. This is a fire exit so this really needs to be looked at, it's a hazard. The room itself was very clean and comfortable, with nice bedding and clean sheets. Mine had some marks which looked like stubborn ink but were otherwise pristine. They were clearly cleaned. The TV has Netflix built in but didn't work which was actually really frustrating. The wifi was particularly bad, only sometimes working but often in and out. This was THE most disappointing thing about the stay to be honest. It's the year 2022 now, people should be able to enjoy the services advertised.

Good Hotel Bad WiFi
Hotel is clean and quiet. WiFi was truly third world standard. VERY bad bandwidth. Telstra mobile coverage in the area is as bad also so backup plan failed. At least the breakfast is still good.
