Bathroom sink in my room was loose almost broken. The fact that they wanted us to pay $20 a day for parking there was unbelievable I’ve never had to pay a hotel to park there if I’m getting a room. I had to park my car on the street where anything could have happened to it. I will never stay at that hotel again!

Nice staff, easy to get to where we were going. Clean room. I wasn’t aware that a train was right next to the hotel which made it a little noisy but not enough for me not to suggest this hotel to others.

check out. And the deposit as well for property damages that didnt show up until after i reserved the room. These things need to be clearly and bold Print in the description before people book, reserve or buy these rooms. If i didnt come i wouldve been charged full price because i couldnt cancel booking after seeing the extra charges. Parking for a hotel that didnt have any avaiable spots is outrageous. Im forced to pay for something i didnt use and wasnt even avaiable. Then the back door doesnt even work

Rooms were nice and clean. No bar - hasn’t been for 3 months. River facing rooms are noisy given the proximity to the railways tracks and training constantly going by. Tissue box was empty in room and coffee station lights were both out. Seems like there were limited staff on duty. I only ever saw 2 people at once. Waited 10 minutes for someone to help me check out.

The property was like stepping back in time to the 1980s and the bed linen perhaps hadn't been changed since then. Decor within dated, carpets unhoovered, bed linen soiled and I made the grave error looking under the bed. Drinking water points did not work in the lobby area, The hot breakfast was warm at best and the fresh fruit was probably fresh 3 weeks ago. A big positive was the friendly and helpful check in clerk who went above and beyond. The area around the hotel wasn't too bad, a Popeye's and Dunkin directly across as well as a gas station on the corner. Steady 15 or 20 minutes walk into Newark and lovely views of the river and train tracks from the room. 1 nights stay was more than enough and thankfully only used as a base for the Devils hockey game.

Upon checking into our room, the blind and drapes were broken so they could not be closed. Had to switch rooms. Tile floor was sticky, carpet looked poorly vacuumed, bedding was clean, woluld avoid staying here if at all possible.

my room wasn’t cleaned. the pillows and blankets were dirty and visibly in need of an actual wash. the shower head and microwave were filthy. there were coffee splatters on the walls and floating shelves. my room also had an ant infestation, which i only found out after i went to sleep and woke up to them dancing on my covers. parking was a nightmare. the parking lot for the hotel only has limited spaces (WHICH YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR SEPARATELY ON TOP OF YOUR ROOM). once they run out of spaces (you paid for), they will send you to a sketchy overflow lot down the street with no security or cameras. save yourself the trouble, and just don’t.

We only had one night booked, and had an event to attend so our stay was very quick. The room, which I did not realize until we arrived back late Thursday night, was definitely dirty. Urine around the base of the toilet, carpets did not look vacuumed at all. We were absolutely exhausted and the beds looked clean, so I did not report this to the front desk. Our room was also incredibly noisy because of the train. I would never stay there again.

The check in process was terrible. It seems there is limited staff and there was a line of people waiting to check in. Also I had to pay $20 to park and there was no parking. My daughter and I went to a concert and when we got back the lot was over filled. The front desk staff did not have a parking solution and tried to send me to another lot 4min away. The security guard went to check the situation and made myself and another gentleman aware they actually have an overflow parking lot down the street for the hotel. Front desk associates were either not aware or didn’t care to tell any guests. I had to park down the street at 11pm with a little girl. I also had to ask for a parking pass so I didn’t get towed. All the things a hotel should already be handing out. It was complete chaos and would never stay again. If they know parking is an issue one they shouldn’t charge and second they should have a back up plan prior to guests being upset and having to drive around town looking for parking. Overall the place was very unprofessional and very unorganized. I have never seen so many upset guests in a hotel lobby. I wouldn’t have just went home if it wasn’t a 3hr drive late at night.

Staff was AMAZING, rate was fair, breakfast was nice! My only ‘gripe’, if any- the appliances were kind of beat! (my kitchen sink almost became detached from trying to turn the nozzle!)- otherwise, clean room, pleasant stay! I’d definitely return! Thanks again

It was clean, convenient, offered breakfast. Location was a mile away from train station. I requested a room change which was not accomodated. That was the only sad part about the stay. Everything else was great !

The amenities in the hotel was outdated or not in service. The first room we were given had this horrible smell to it so we had to request a room change. Overall, ok for a quick stay.

Staff was excellent although several people in front of us had trouble with Expedia reservations. We had no trouble checking in other than waiting behind those that did. The hotel is dated and under a lot of construction but everyone was friendly. The heat didn’t work in one of the two rooms I reserved. It was miserable and no accommodation was made. The weather was cold, damp and rainy and we really needed heat. Actually ended up,getting sick because we had no heat. I think once the construction and any updates are completed the riverwalk location could be very desirable. Once again the whole staff especially the young lady overseeing breakfast was terrific. They deserve raises working under those circumstances right now.
