Excellent Location

Posted 29-Jul-2016
Pros: Location
Location: Ideal location 4 blocks from Central Park. Subway stations are also close by.
The Hotel is busy at all times and getting to speak to someone at reception can take a long time. Not enough seating in the reception area. My Room (841) was quite small and so did not have enough drawers to store clothes. The cleanliness of the room I think depended on who the maid was each day. Overall an acceptable hotel in an ideal position on 7th Avenue.

Central location

Posted 29-Jul-2016
Pros: The location is perfect. I loved the view of Central Park out the window. I like the convenience factor that everything is close by.
Cons: Nothing. It's perfect.
Location: Anything you can think of. Eat nearby, See a broadway show. Walk around time square. Explore central park. Go to the Central Park zoo. Etc...
I like this hotel. It's located right near the theater district. Two blocks away from Central Park. It's a short walk to Columbus Circle. Everything you need is close by.

Nice hotel close to Times Square

Posted 28-Jul-2016
Pros: Location - close to Times Square, Central Park, 5th Avenue for shopping, and Holey Cream!
Cons: Our room was quite small - it would have been nice to have a bit more room and not feel so cramped but understand this can't always be the case.
Location: AMAZING LOCATION. Seriously. I've mentioned it numerous times before. It's close to everything and there's a Subway station just across the road.
The best thing about The Wellington is definitely its location; it's only a few blocks from both Times Square and Central Park making it ideal for a short city break because you can reach all the main attractions easily. The hotel itself is nice in an old-fashioned sort of way. Though we booked just a double room, the receptionist upgraded my sister and I to a Queen-bed so we would both have a bit more room. The room itself was actually pretty small, but seeing as we spent all day/evening outside of the hotel, this didn't bother us. One night our air conditioning broke (not ideal in 30 degree + weather), and though I did have to ask reception three times to sort it out, maintenance did eventually come and replace the entire air-con system in our room, which was great and we were incredibly appreciative. The diner attached to the hotel is also pretty good (definitely recommend the French Toast) however they do get exceptionally busy. On our last morning we were trying to enjoy a leisurely breakfast when the waitress told us we had to leave because her manager was pressuring the staff to make room for new guests. All in all, both me and my sister really enjoyed our stay at The Wellington and we would definitely stay here again.

Old without the Charm

Posted 27-Jul-2016
Extremely old hotel. Is in the heart of the city which makes it convenient but there are many nicer cheaper options. The room was tiny and the bathroom not very clean. The bathroom was so small it felt like a broom closet.

Gran hotel

Posted 27-Jul-2016

There are much better hotels nearby

Posted 22-Jul-2016
This hotel is in a good location, the service and customer experience isn't worth the location and there are so many good hotels nearby at a better price
