3 dayer

Posted 29-Sep-2016
Pros: Architecture and details are from the grand hotel days (not of course like the Pierre but...;) Quite pleasant.
Location: Ton to do nearby. Cabs can be dicey but with Uber who cares.
They are working on the elevators. Causes huge backups in the morning and the evening when people are checking in-out. My belief is that this is a long term project. Nice old hotel. Rooms were fine. Quiet. Guys at the bar at night ((wait-staff)) are snarly and inattentive.

The rooms are very small and need to be maintained better. The wallpaper was coming off the wall.

Convenient location w/ lack of comfortability

Posted 27-Sep-2016
Surrounded by good tourist locations but for those people who is looking for comfortability during their stays in NYC, this hotel may not be an ideal stay as it is a bit old and cleanliness is very dramatic. I have to request another room as the bathroom sink clogged. However, knowing that this hotel is rich in historical background. I guessed it's a credit adds on to our stay.

Good location

Posted 27-Sep-2016
Conveniently located. Transportation very accessible. Shops and sights nearby. Rooms need to be upgraded. Bed also sags in the middle. Takes time to get hot water. Faucet lever snapped off.

A Landmark

Posted 26-Sep-2016
Pros: Location
Cons: Cost and updates
Location: too much for me to say!
I had a pleasant weekend here, good location. The staff at the 'free coffee' in the bar were less than friendly-one woman in particular.

Excellent location, price was great. Charming.

Posted 26-Sep-2016
Pros: Location. Price. Old world feel to it.
Cons: Bathroom was a little outdated..but still clean
Location: Walking distance was ideal to everything. Times Sqaure. Grand Central...everything.
Old hotel...but charming. Clean. A little run down but would definitely stay again. Location was PRIME! Minutes from GrandCentral (we walked with our luggage) . Minutes from TimeSquare. Felt safe walking at night. Loved the hotel...sad we didn't spend more time in the lobby/balcony but we had too much to see in the city!!

The hotel was very outdated and needs a total remodeling done. Rooms are very small, with a terrible view to the opposite building where people are working

not amazing

Posted 25-Sep-2016
Hotel is old so elevators are extremely slow. Staff was not helpful and accommodating when an Internet situation arised as they source it from a 3rd party. No soap when I checked in, very weird looking drain in tub and Just didn't seem 100% as clean as could be. Air unit is old as well so room was either very hot or extremely cold. Rooftop bar was very nice thou, highlight of hotel.
