Centrally Located

Posted 12-Nov-2017
Pros: Breakfast was included which helps when you're on a budget.
Cons: Unusually there wasn't a fridge. The air conditioner temperature was too cool for me.
Location: The subway is nearby but I found it within walking distance of many tourist attractions.
The rooms are basic but satisfactory. It's an annex to the main hotel next door. Check in and check out were very straightforward.

Cold shower first night and got sick. Restroom fixtures look old.

Do not get continental breakfast unless you book directly with the hotel.

First time visit to New York for 25th Anniversary

Posted 30-Oct-2017
Pros: Very professional, attentive staff. Loved the fresh fruit at breakfast and the evening reception. Very clean rooms.
Location: 1/2 block from Times Square. Within 4 blocks of a number of major theaters on Broadway. Walking distance to Rockefeller Center. Chain and local food.
My wife and I were celebrating our 25th anniversary this year and decided to go on a trip to New York. Using Expedia's website, we tried to get into the Doubletree Times Square but had technical issues getting the trip booked. Late that night, I went on Expedia's App for the iPhone and found The Premier, which was not popping up on the Website. No issues getting the hotel and flight booked through the app. Did not know much about the Premier, but the location sounded good. When we got to NYC through JFK, our driver dropped us off on the backside of the Millennial Broadway, the Premier sister hotel next door. We walked through the busy Millennial lobby and the Hudson Theater lobby to the Premier lobby. There we found a quiet, contemporary lobby with professional concierges that check us in. Our room was also contemporary and comfortable, with a sitting area, bed on a stand, vanity, Keurig, closet, very roomy bathroom with a bath and shower, and large windows. The room included a very nice continental breakfast buffet and evening reception with wine, beer and light appetizers. While we were just 1/2block off Times Square, the hotel was quiet and peaceful. It's location was convenient for walking and for getting to the tour buses which were abundant in Times Square. Close to a number of theaters, great food venues and shopping.

First trip to New York

Posted 26-Oct-2017
This was our firsts trip to New York and was a surprise for my wife for our 20th wedding anniversary. So I was looking for something special in a good location, after hours of searching I decided on the premier hotel as it’s location looked good, it’s reviews were great and the price was excellent, All I can say is we weren’t disappointed at all, the hotel was in a perfect location and had everything we needed, it even included free breakfast, WiFi and complementary drinks and snacks in the evening, which were a big help as this was our first time in New York, so saved us a lot of time looking of places for breakfast, giving us more time for sightseeing. I would also like to say how friendly and helpful the staff were, which made our stay and us feel that bit more special. Thank you premier hotel for making our first trip to New York one to remember. We would definitely recommend this hotel

Not at this price point.

Posted 18-Oct-2017
Pros: Close to theatres, restaurants, transportation
The room was large (by Manhattan standards). When I sat on the couch and looked for lighting, there was none. No floor lamp no overhead lamp, no wall mounted lamp. When I went out for the evening, I mentioned it to the front desk rep who said he would take care of it. Arrived back at the room and nothing had changed. The next morning I asked a member of housekeeping: why no lighting? She said there should be a floor lamp and quickly went to get one. Next, the end table wobbled - clearly needed someone to tighten the screws. Sitting on my couch, I could clearly hear the conversation in the next room and they were not having a loud conversation- just two people talking. The sound came from the part of the wall near the window. Also, a low rumble outside the window at night from a cooling tower on the top of the adjacent building.
