Location: Plenty of restaurants nearby, Empire State Building & MSG
Very nice hotel. Clean rooms, maid did great job. Bartender was very friendly. Check-in & check-out were painless. Short walk to Empire State Building. Had breakfast in hotel one morning was just so-so but plenty of restaurants close by.

Hotel Chandler is a nice spot.

Posted 21-Mar-2017
Pros: Cleanliness, location, staff.
Cons: Just wish it were set up better for 2 people to get ready to go out - if you're 1, you're a-okay.
Location: The Smith Nomad is a super fun restaurant that is only a couple of blocks away, as well as Korea-town. Gregory's Coffee is my favorite & 2 blocks away
For a five night stay, the Hotel Chandler was a nice spot to hang our hat. Just roomy enough for 2 people to get ready to venture out, but not so comfy that you would prefer it to anything NYC has to offer by way of food, arts or entertainment. A typical room size for New York City hotel. Hotel staff was friendly but not overly engaged - which I like. They took care of our needs but didn't intrude upon our experience. The hotel bar is small & didn't seem special, so we didn't spend any time there. They also seemed to close early. We ordered room service for lunch one day - it was fast & the food was quite good. The location was good as well. We even walked to a couple of shows. In the winter . . . If the rate was right, I'd stay here again. I wouldn't seek it out, but the space seems like one you can count on.

Front desk & concierge very helpful with directions, bking taxi's. Tea, coffee available downstairs but not in rooms. Nice powerful shower with fresh towels everyday without asking. Easy access to Grand central, 5th Ave & Madison Ave. lots of choice of places to eat, felt safe which was important as woman travelling alone

nice but snowstorm defeats chandler

Posted 21-Mar-2017
It's a fresh hotel in a great neighborhood. Staff is excellent. The manager, George, worked overtime to compensate for all the other things going wrong that evening: there was no room service at the hotel because of a giant snowstorm. So I had to go out myself into the giant snowstorm to get some terrific Korean food from the neighborhood and bring it back myself. There is no ATM in the hotel. The bar closed at 11 PM. My room is freezing cold. It might be better another time of year. I might give it a try another time

beautiful hotel, great location, pricy

Posted 19-Mar-2017
It was a very nice experience overall. Got it on a good price (like half of what it costs) and got a very very tiny room looking into a brick wall. If i had paid nearly $300 for that room i would have been mad but for 140 it was ok. Great staff. Incredile location.

Very good boutique hotel, fine staff

Excellent mid-town location. Liked the art deco character of the building. Very comfortable room. Bathroom surprisingly large. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were made early during the day, which I favour.

Great service, Great Hotel Staff

Posted 06-Mar-2017
Pros: The location is great! The staff are wonderful.
Cons: Cleanliness. The room service pricing should be reviewed to be more competitive - with apps such as Uber Eats or Seamless - options are plentiful!
Location: You're within a 15 minute walk to Times Square - there's everything to do!
Overall, a very positive experience. The staff are simply fantastic and would be the reason why I would return again in the future. The room size was a tad small (although, it is NYC!) and I was slightly put off by the cleanliness of the room. The bathroom fan looks like it hasn't been cleaned for months and a few other areas of the room could have been tidier. The fitness facilities are a tad cramped - especially if there is more than one person in the room. However, there is a full selection of free weights and different types of cardio machines available for use which is always nice when you are away from home. We did not order any room service as the pricing was not competitive.

lovely, cosy, quite, safe and comfortable.

Posted 06-Mar-2017
I was spending a night alone upon late return from a trip. This hotel was just perfect. I tend to go for modern hotels and this one is not, but it is so cosy and homey that it would be my definite Manhattan go to from now on. Bed was so comfortable, everything was spotless. Staff, especially welcoming at the door. I was on the second floor which concerned me for noise but there was none. Rooms are small, normal for Manhattan, but they make it work.
