Fantastic convenient hotel

Posted 24-Aug-2016
This hotel is right at Times Square so you can walk to all the theatres for Broadway shows. Plenty of restaurants nearby to choose from and all the sights are either walking distance or a short ride away by subway. The hotel is LGBT-friendly and respect your privacy. The only improvement it needs is to widen its breakfast area because it's too small for the number of patrons they have. Anyhow, I like this hotel and I would stay here again.

Excellent Hotel in the Middle of the action

Posted 22-Aug-2016
Pros: The rooms are very quiet, clean and modern. Beds are fantastic!
Cons: Nothing really
Location: It's in the middle of Times Square and the Theater district.... there's everything to do!
The Hilton Times Square is located right on 42nd street next to Madame Tousseault's & The Wax Museum, just steps from 7th Avenue / Broadway. You are right in the middle of all the action. However, the Hilton Times Square is a hotel built on top of another building so when you enter the hotel, you take an elevator to the 21st floor to the main lobby. The hotel rooms start at the 22nd level. Thus, whatever room you get, it's far away from street noise which is a pleasure in New York. Also, this is not a big city hotel like the New York Hilton on 6th. It's more like a boutique hotel.... just perfect.

Hilton time square

Posted 21-Aug-2016
Pros: cleanliness of the room, a lot of space in the room to move around, with 6 elevator and no waiting time , staff are nice and very courteous
Cons: I could not think of anything
Location: very close to a lot of attraction, walking distance to broadway, st patricks cathedral, 5th avenue on high end shopping
when I checked in, I was told that the room I reserved a week ago ( 1 king bed corner room) is no longer available, however, I was offered a free upgrade to a higher floor , 31st floor over looking time square, with a free breakfast buffet for me and my wife for the duration of my stay.

Great but with Issues

Posted 20-Aug-2016
Pros: The hotel is very clean and friendly. The location is prime for most tourist. Views from higher rooms are great. Staff is great
Cons: Front desk! More people are needed on the front desk. Employees need to direct parties with large inquiries to guest services on the side.
Location: Between 7th (Broadway) and 8th Avenue/ 42nd street there are: loads of restaurants, AMC theater, Ripley's, Madame Tussauds, Dave and Busters, stores
The staff is very friendly and the rooms are very accessible and clean. However, any process at the front desk take too long. My party stood in line for 30 minutes during check-out until another staff member recognized the situation at came out. Irena and Victor at guest services are very knowledgeable and professional. We asked for late checkout to a front desk employee (1:30pm). The employee kept saying 1pm and we kept correcting him. He put the checkout at 1pm and thus, our keys didn't work pass 1pm. Stuck outside our room with our luggage inside- we used the floor telephone and alerted the front desk. "We'll send someone up right now" 10 minutes later, no one arrived. That's when we decided to go down and waited in the line; 2 people were in front of us and later 7 parties behind us. An elderly couple asked numerous question and was still holding up the line after we had been served. My point in mentioning this: we almost missed our flight because of an employee mistake and a long check-out. Luckily our taxi got there in less than an hour instead of the 90mins we set aside. Overall, our stay was great and enjoyable. However, there are issues that can have guest facing more serious consequences. I wouldn't recommend the Hilton on that alone.
