Nice hotel close to the theaters

Posted 23-Jul-2017
Pros: The approxiity to the things we wanted to do in NYC
Cons: The dank smell coming from the air conditioner.
Location: Close to Times Square in one direction and Rockefeller center the other direction.
The location of the hotel was ideal for us. Close to theaters, Hell's Kitchen and Times Square. Several subway lines were also close by. The hotel staff was great, friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Best Beds!

Posted 21-Jul-2017
Pros: We really liked how centrally located the hotel was to most of the popular sites of the city. The Blue line was just 1 block away.
Cons: The bell men were rude. No smiles, thank you, or have a good a good day from them ever. Even when I tipped them.
Location: Broadway shows are within 1 block of the hotel along with the fun of Times Square, Radio City Music Hall, etc.
I took my Girl Scouts to NYC for a week. They made sure our rooms were next to each other. I'm very picky when it comes to hotel beds and they were actually made correctly and we all slept very well and didn't want to get up in the mornings.

Expect better from Hampton Inn

Posted 20-Jul-2017
Pros: Located in midtown and relatively convenient for public transportation.
Cons: The front desk check in service. The rooms are clean, but it''s showing its age. Carpet looks old. Provide cold water in the lobby. Add a pool.
Location: Midtown. Walkable to Times Square. Broadway theaters close by. Some good restaurants close by.
We have asked for a room on a higher floor when we reserved the hotel. We arrived at the hotel before 11am because we took a redeye flight from the west coast. We totally understand that there isn't a room for us to go to yet but the lady at the counter said that we are checked in. So we had the hotel hold our luggage and went to do our stuff in the city. When we got back around 10pm, the same lady gave us a room on the second floor. So I said we've asked for a higher floor when we made our reservation. She said there was nothing indicating that and there isn't anything available any more. I didn't press any further. Then I asked if they have my Hilton Honors number there so that I can collect points. She looked up my information and told me that she sees my request for higher floor there. So I said I did make the request and she didn't honor it. And she said it's because I didn't give her my Hilton Honors number when I checked in. Excuse me, but aren't you supposed to ask if I am a member to begin with? What type of service is this?????

Perfectly located & priced hotel in heart of NYC

Posted 09-Jul-2017
Pros: Great location, great service.
Cons: 1) Make sure the hot breakfast has at least 1 vegetarian option daily. 2) Add refrigerator to the room
We had a great stay at the Hampton Inn in Times Square North. It's less than 5-10min walk from Broadway, Times Square, Rockefeller Center, and Central Park. It's also just a minute's walk from the Subway station. The room itself was simple and quiet and the service was excellent. It is an extremely competitive price for being in the heart of Manhattan. Our only gripe is that our hotel room did not have a refrigerator in it, but other than that, it was perfect, and we would stay here again in any future visits to NYC!

Great hotel to be close to the Theater district and the Rockefeller center at a good price. The Staff was nice and helpful and they have a shuttle to go to the airport for $65.

Perfect hotel for family exploring the city. Free breakfast buffet was plenty to get you started and out the door in the mornings. Close to everything - Central Park, Times Square, Broadway, etc. Room was clean and spacious for NYC.
