Rooms not great - Lobby beautiful
The four of us arrived with pre-booked, pre-paid 2 rooms with 2 double beds. We were told that the rooms were not available and they could only give us two rooms with King bed and roll out. After a one hour wait, countless discussions about what we expected, what was available, what time, possible moves to another unacceptable hotel etc. we got two rooms with two double beds, breakfast vouchers and a late check out time.
Under normal circumstances this would have been acceptable; however our manager was at times curt, dismissive and not at all apologetic about the delay. We went out for dinner as they prepared our rooms. When we got to the rooms I did the usual check for bed bugs and there were none there; however it was very clear that the mattress had not been vacuumed in a very long time, the tiles in the bathroom were not very clean, the sheets on the bed were thin and when the sheets were changed the next day there was a tear in the top sheet on one of the beds. Also not all of the elevators were operating.
