Pros: location
First night we were giving a room that someone had previously smoked in. While they were quite nice about changing the room the next day we still had to deal with the smell for 1 night and the hassle of changing rooms. They also don't offer parking nor help carrying luggage to room. Price is better that most though.

Hotel was great! Good location. Fantastic staff! The cleanliness was not amazing and some of the appliances were broken. But overall good value!

Paying for location.

It was a place to crash. And an expensive one. The bed was hard, the window was left open so the whole room smelled like subway. The walls and windows need to be washed. There were patches in the wall that needed more than spackle. Not what I thought a 4 star was, but I guess I should have read the reviews.

Pros: I'm not willing to give them any credit because the manager ignored my complaints and made me feel as if I was the one with the problem
Cons: Upgrade the windows to modern double glazed. That will help the owners immensely lower their heating bills as well.
The building is old, which I knew about and don't mind. The room interior was clean and comfortable. The owners spent all their money making sure that all the tech toys are available, including a in-mirror tv in the bathroom, which I certainly don't need. But the main reason why I need a hotel - TO HAVE A GOOD NIGHTS SLEEP - wasn't in the cards. The windows are old and single pane, which means they let outside noise inside as if there was no window at all. If you need to sleep this is not the place for you.

This is a well located hotel w/a nice,friendly staff. Clean. Comfy bed. Good shower. We got in to NYC very early & were able to store our luggage before the room was ready. Plenty to amuse ourselves in the area. Nothing fancy but found it a good value for the price.

Check in process was easy and clear. Staff was basic, nothing terrible but nothing amazing. After being in the hotel for about two hours I realized I couldn’t change the temperature in the room. It was extremely hot. Could not get my money back from the hotel, was instructed by front desk to get money back from Expedia. Wait for a different room with possible working air-conditioning took way too long. Left after two hours due to not being able to sleep in the heat.

Nice hotel in the heart of NYC

The hotel is nice. The paint was chipping from the ceiling in our room and water was not going down well in sink but other than that very good. Breakfast is simple and same every day but definitely it's good and tasty and it's better than looking for place to eat when you're hungry in the morning. Location is great. Close to all attractions and subway. Definitely stay there again.

They don’t change pillow cases and they don’t care

The rate was really good ( now I know why ) so I stayed here 16 days over a months period and I can say without a doubt I DONT recommend this hotel. The last time I checked in the room they gave me had hair all over the pillow cases. The front desk called housekeeping and the changed them but they acted like they could care less. Another time I checked in the room they gave me had a dirty bathtub. There are many more things like this but worst of all no one cares. Pay a little extra and get a clean room somewhere!

Great location, but slightly confusing hotel. It's like they tried to be fancy but never kept up with it. There's a tv in the bathroom mirror which is super cool, but ours was broken. My room also had no thermostat when I first checked in. I asked and asked and FINALLY got someone to bring one up several hours later. Also, left my hat and hair straightener in the room, but they "never found it".
