Great hotel. Unique & great location

Close to restaurants , shopping and very good service. I was not happy with the blow out so the hair salon ; expected better quality of service due to the very nice hotel

Great location!

Pros: The location, view, and hotel staff.
Location: Chelsea Market was just steps away and such a great spot to visit, but in general the whole neighborhood was awesome.
From the airport, I took the subway to the 14th St. stop which was conveniently located to the hotel. I was traveling alone for business, but when I walked in I was greeted with a smile and hello within a few steps by more than one employee as if they knew me. It was like they were genuinely happy to see me. My room was perfect and my view was amazing and the bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds I've ever slept on. Shaquoia put me into room 612 and either this was her intuition or more likely chance, but this Minneapolis girl felt the love. The housekeeping staff was also very friendly and did an awesome job. The hotel's lounge was beautiful and their club seemed popular, but I was alone and never got a chance to enjoy it, but it seemed to be a very hip spot. I look forward to my next visit being for pleasure and maybe then I'll get a chance to enjoy the rooftop. Until then, I'd like to thank Daniel F., Shaquoia G., and Stefanie M. for really making me feel so welcome and comfortable. I highly recommend this property.

Hip and party atmosphere

The Dream Downtown has a great atmosphere, superb location and awesome staff. There are also a number of clubs nearby/on premises that would benefit some hotel guests. Unfortunately, I was staying for work and the club below (staying on the second floor) was loud till 4am. I woke up at 345a to the whole room vibrating with bass. The staff was super accommodating and definitely did everything right to make up for my experience. My recommendation is, if you're not looking for the party atmosphere request a higher floor or ask if the club will be open during your stay.

Very uncomfortable

This hotel was not comfortable at all. The bed was lumpy, and even after we had the feather topper switched out for a 2nd, it was still very hard to sleep. On top of this, the light switches are illuminated, and they stay that way all night. One is right next to the bed, so it shines in your face. The phone also has a 6 inch touch screen that dims, but does not go totally dark. We like a dark room to sleep in, and this hotel definitely does not provide that. Also, the A/C is on a motion sensor to conserve power. This is fine during the day, but is really frustrating at night, since you wake up in the middle of the night to stale air. All the staff was great, and the hotel is well kept, but if you like to sleep in a dark, cool room like we do, then this is not the hotel for you.

Yes and no!

The hotel is 4/5 star it's by Chelsea market,we had a great time daylight but at night extremely loud , there is a bar right next door ,from 12-4am sounds beeps siren screaming, inside a hotel door slamming. You hear everything . If you looking to party this is your place if you looking to sleep at night choose a different hotel.

Below the NightClub

I wouldnt stay at this hotel again. I asked for a room change and no one even got back to me. You would expect higher room standards but thay is not the case(rug's color is fading and Mattress quality is below average). My room was under the nightclub so there was no way that i could have slept unless they have turned off the music and moved all their furniture to prepare for the 8am breakfast.
