Cons: The entranceway is horrible. It's always blocked and easy to miss, not well lit.
We didn't get the room reserved, got 2 full instead of a queen. The bathroom had an unexplained odor. All in all, not pleased with my stay.

So so hotel on a bad street

Posted 24-Aug-2016
Pros: Clean and quiet. Nice bathroom and shower.
Cons: Elevators, restaurant, lobby.
Location: Very bad street. Very dirty and stunk. Trash and garbage everywhere. Walking distance to everything but had to walk around all the trash.
There isn't much I can say nice about this hotel but I'm giving it a so so rating. The rooms are small and cramped with no easy chair to sit on, only a bed and the desk chair. No room for an easy chair if they wanted to put one in the room. I had three strikes against the hotel before my first 24 hours: 1. The stupid idea of having to use your room key card to get up to your floor in the elevator. I suppose they think this was added security; however, it was easy to overcome if you knew how. I won't say how here. In the meantime, you had to put up with 5-6 people getting into the elevator and each one trying to get their card to work and there you stand waiting and waiting for everyone to finally get their floor selected. A waste of time and not necessary for security. 2. The first night I had to wait 6 1/2 minutes from the time I punched the down button on my floor to the time the elevator arrived. Only two elevators for 32 floors and long waits during busy times of the day and evening. 3. The first morning I was there I decided to try their breakfast. Suppose to start at 7 AM and I arrived about two minutes early. Still getting things ready at 6:58 so I decided to grab a cup of coffee but no coffee yet in the cafe so I had to go to the lobby to get it. Waited patiently until about 7:05 and then decided to eat. No hot food yet. Still getting it ready. I didn't have all morning so I left and went somewhere else. The whole trip was bad here

NYC Stay

Posted 22-Aug-2016
Had a great stay at the hotel. The location is super busy given the proximity to Times Square. It's obviously a very touristy area so always something happening. The proximity to the subway station is really good but the hotel is far enough away from Times Square that access is very easy. Great places to eat in the area and the hotel itself was really clean - both the facilities and the room itself.

Not what we expected but well priced.

Posted 18-Aug-2016
Pros: Very well priced for NYC. If you're on a budget and want something cheap but fine this hotel fits the bill, just don't expect something great.
Cons: The staff go out of their way to be helpful which is good but to me it's almost intrusive. The hotel footprint is just too small - hard to fix.
Location: Try going anywhere west of the hotel (i.e. to the river foreshore) is challenging to say the least. The amount of construction to the west is crazy.
With the great rating the Distrikt hotel gets we expected more. The room was tiny and barely large enough to keep our two suitcases open; we had to open and close as there wasn't enough ground room to have both open. The bathroom was tiny! You could hardly open the door without having to touch the toilet bowl with the back of your leg. The area west of the hotel is also just terrible, the amount of construction work going on is just crazy and it's the highest activity in the city while we stayed. The was also no soap holder which is bizarre and just one towel rack. Still the room was clean and tidy and the room maids did a great job at cleaning up for us daily - don't forget to tip the maids!

No Centro e confortável

Posted 14-Aug-2016

Comfortable stay

Posted 11-Aug-2016
Great location in the heart of midtown, walking distance to heaps of attractions and restaurants, and only a short cab ride to most places. The staff were absolutely great. Very friendly and helpful and they even stored some packages for me, that I had delivered, which arrived early.

Ideaal hotel voor NYC

Posted 09-Aug-2016
Comfortabel hotel. Ideale ligging voor een bezoek aan New York. Metro dichtbij. Times Square op steenworp afstand. Bagage kan op de dag van aankomst en vertrek opgeslagen worden. Personeel is uitermate vriendelijk. Value for money!
