Centrally located, staff very helpful and accommodating. Rooms hade cracks and door would not close unless pushed in, no view. Location is great near everything as well as subways to take you everywhere else!

This property is in a convenient location, easily walk to Central park, Times Square. The room is a good size for NYC, but they look like they are the originals from when this hotel was opened > 1903. Need some updating for sure. There is free breakfast, but it's just simple continental items. They were nice enough to hold my luggage while I toured the city (before I left NYC). I paid like $150 for the king room, I wouldn't pay more than that.

When I first arrived to the property the staff was pleasant and I liked the location of the hotel (close to Bryant park). Check in process was fast and easy. Once I got to my room I noticed a strong odor and my room was extremely small after being told by the front desk they upgraded me. They told me I booked a petite room which I didn’t see that option on Expedia but I rolled with it. I went back downstairs to change my room and the desk worker looked visibly upset that I had this problem. He told me he could change my room and charged me a $20 fee. Overall, the location was great but you get what you pay for. It wasn’t luxurious but definitely better than a motel. I would go back if I was looking for a cheap place in the area but most likely wouldn’t bring anybody to stay there with me as my boyfriend was curious as to why I chose this hotel on a block full of beautiful hotels.

Avoid at all costs! The rooms are the size of a shoebox and the bathroom is in the room. It’s dated! I probably could have dealt with it if I was by myself but I had my daughters with my for an orchestra trip at Carnegie Hall. No way! And, it wasn’t the room I reserved. They were booked and didn’t have another room for us.

The property did a great job with very limited space, and the location was great. Might be helpful to point out the hidden spaces which appear as construction fixes. The property boasted a city view, at least for the description of the room I booked. We had a view of the alley. Additionally, the room detail listed plush robes but there was nothing of the sort. Also, the clear shower curtain is very chic but as a family traveling together and sharing one bathroom, it’s useful to be able to have one child brush their teeth while one showers. With a see through curtain, there was no possibility to use the space more flexibly.

The hotel is old it needs a renovation asp. The hallway is smell the room smell too. The only thing that was decent was the bathroom.

Beware, for the price, this place was very dated and very dirty. Does not meet safety standards. Elevator is sketchy. Smelly and beds are not clean. Horrible matresses. Was quiet from the traffic, but had yo open the one window because air quality is not good in the room. Would not recommend.

Great location. Close to Grand Central and Times Square. It was surprisingly quiet at night. Our room comfortably slept three for a reasonable price. The staff were all personable and helpful.

The staff at CC were wonderful and friendly. The hotel and its rooms need a total renovation. The hotel is way beyond its renovation date. The rooms were filthy and falling apart. The staff was making the best of a bad situation

I stayed at the City Club hotel for the first-time mid Feb 2024. I stay in NYC often. I am adding City Club to my list of preferred hotels. The location is very convenient to midtown, where I typically like to be. Close to times square, major museums and the theater district. The hotel is older than others, but has few amenities you do not typically see. I had the smallest room, but restroom had a bidet and black marble. There were a lot of details you would see in a more expensive hotel. The was a full mini bar and complimentary continental breakfast. I need to try one on the larger rooms the next time I am in NYC. Some of the finishes were dated, but the hotel was clean, and the service was fantastic.

The property was clean, well maintained. The rooms were quirky and very nice. Staff was great! Friendly and helpful. The breakfast served was pleasant, somewhat healthy and very tasty.
