Super cute, Hollywood themed, clean, great location

Old and small rooms - location is great though

The hotel is very old. No lifts (there are 5 floors) and narrow so large suitcases will struggle. The rooms are old and smells damp with questionable carpet. However surface dirt was minimal and sheets seems clean. The rooms are small and barely fit 2 people. I travelled alone and barely had enough room for my suitcase and myself.

Single rooms face a really loud street

If you are a heavy sleeper and don't mind a loud bus outside your window through out the night, you'll do fine. However, if you are not that type of sleeper, the single rooms are not for you. The website doesn't tell you that all single rooms face the street that is very close to the bus stop and loud trucks going by day and night. Also the air system is controlled by whichever person on the floor set it first. So if the person in the room next to you likes it at 85 every night and that's too hot for you, you're out of luck. All you can do is turn the air off and have no circulation. I know it's a less expensive place but single rooms aren't likely to be the best way to go there.

Pretty bad experience. Room was freezing and unbearably cold. Thermostat was on full blast but no heat coming out. Asked front desk to investigate, which they did but there was no improvement. Had to sleep with towels on bed for extra warmth. Would never go back. Floor had broken pieces jutting up and was uneven with floor boards sticking up on steps. So dangerous. Really disappointed and could not wait to leave.

    5/5 Excellent

Cozy in Great Part of Town

Great boutique hotel with friendly staff. Room was cozy, but bed was comfortable, temp of room was great, and bathroom was very clean and offered what we needed - including a easy to check out blow-dryer from downstairs
