They canceled in December so they were remodeling side of scramble for a new hotel I’ll be sure not to stay at that one at all I’m glad I hadn’t paid for the room I had a time probably would’ve lost my money

Best Western Plus LaGuardia is Closed
The Best Western Plus is closed for remodel. I was sent to the Corona across the street, clean & adequate but not a BW. No shuttle service therefore a great extra expense back and forth to the airports. I should have been informed ahead of time about the situation!

When we arrived we were told there was no room for us because of plumbing issues. They had a room for us at the Holiday Inn for no extra cost, but no free breakfast. The walk to Holiday Inn was.2 miles, with luggage and kid. Shuttle transportation was not available.

Bummer stay
We arrived at the hotel to be notified that we couldn’t have our hotel room we booked because of plumbing issues. Okay things happen, but the hotel made zero attempt to let us know before hand and we had to stay at the “sister hotel” across the street. While it was nice we had a hotel room we were not properly informed. In addition I booked this hotel largely because of the airport shuttle. I was informed they no longer had the shuttle, they paid for a taxi for us the next morning, but the employees were not very polite during the process. The hotel room we were put in was nice on appearance, but it was very dirty, There was someone else’s hair in our bed and hand prints all over the furniture, among other things. I just feel that we didn’t get get what we paid for and was not properly informed.

When we went in they told us there was a plumbing problem and so we had to be redirected to another hotel. Later my friend went in to ask if they had more rooms and the person at the counter said they were overbooked... so not sure what the problem was

It was a typical hotel. We didn't get to actually stay there as there was a plumbing problem or something. Also their shuttle was broke down.

When we checked in the front desk told us that we can pay a difference if we stayed a little longer after the time of checkout. Once the time for the checkout came, they came to the room and banged on the door and told us we had to leave right in that moment.. very dissapointing

Hi Expedia, Thank you for giving me an opportunity to do the hotel survey. The room we stayed for 5 days and 4 nights (one night with Expedia reservation). First day I already informed the front desk clerk there is no hook for bath towels. When you enter the lobby the blower of the heater was so very hot even the weather is not yet cold. The front desk agents need to learn how to be friendly like simple Good Morning and Thank the guest for staying. Overall I love that Best Western because it is next to the 111 Station (quiet room), near the grocery, fast foods, coin laundry and La Guardia Airport (with hourly LGA airport shuttlecomplimentary). Excellent selection of FREE breakfast buffet. Plus complete amenities like iron & board, hair dryer, fridge, microwave, coffee & tea and Free Wi-Fii. Thank you very much and I will recommend the hotel to my friends and family. I will definitely return to this Best Western Plus Hotel.

No room available due to plumbing issues that management was aware of weeks prior to us arriving We arrived at 1am with two small exhausted children to be told no room available but hey we made reservations across the street. Across the street was the smelliest horrible appearance of a hotel nothing even close to what We booked

Terrible business! I booked a room here and when we arrived we were told there was a plumbing problem and we were moved to the hotel across the street. I was never asked if this was ok! I spent my money for a room here and they decided for me that I was staying somewhere else! That’s not acceptable!

I arrived at Best Western and they relocated me to another hotel. The front desk staff was socializing with friends and one of the friends helped me to the shuttle by taking my lugguage which I later found out he didn’t work there but was just s friend of the girls at the front deskl. I reason I’m so annoyed is I called after receiving a cancellation notice from a Expedia and they ask me if I’m still coming they confirmed that I would have a room. The other hotel they put me at had no continental breakfast and had no restaurants in walking distance. When I called the best western back to express my disappointment the girl was very rude and put me through to the managers line who would not be in until Monday.

Didn’t get to stay there. The staff were very nice
The hotel had plumbing problems and moved us to the nearby Holiday Inn. It took an hour for them to check us in and no one else was in line. It was very late and the kids were very tired. The folks at best western were really nice.

We were booked here but were shifted over to a less nice place across the street. We had paid ahead of time so felt as though we should have been able to keep our room. We had a lot of luggage and it was hard going up and down the stairs. The main thing I would like to report is that no one even mentioned a rebate on the less expensive room. I will also report to Best Western Corp. Office. We had even bought the insurance with you.

There is nothing around the hotel, but the subway stop is only a few minutes walk. The neighborhood looks rundown, but seems safe.

There was no room available at check in. We were sent to the hotel across the street. Much cheaper and were promised they will keep looking for a room for us what never happened. The hotel across the street had a couple of smoking rooms that made the whole floor stink.

I just found the location to be poor. The subway noise did not bother me as much as the poor neighbourhood. I chose this for the proximity to the subway. That was good. However the location was quite sketchy. The lobby area furniture needs to be steam cleaned. On the plus size the staff were very nice and there was free breakfast and a free shuttle ride to La Guardia.

I liked the reception in transferring my reservation to Holiday Inn due to plumbing issue and picking us up from Holiday Inn for Continental breakfast every morning. However, the lady at breakfast kitchen is a rude lady and unfriendly when answering questions.
