Great time in New Orleans

We stayed at the Blake Hotel for 3 nights. It was convenient to walk to Canal st, Bourbon st, The French qtr and Harrah’s Casino. The hotel staff was very friendly and always willing to offer suggestions or assistance when needed. Hotel was clean and comfortable. There is no parking at this hotel so be prepared to pay for valet or search for somewhere to leave your car.

Stuff and hotel are really good it's just the heater vent make a lot of noise can't sleep and can't hear the TV either

Pros: location
Cons: management
Location: Everything is within walking distance
Room was great, front desk girl was great. My only issue is they didn't tell me the charge for valet on my card was only pending and would disappear after I paid for it. So the manager got real snippy with me after waiting for them to figure it out for about 10 minutes at the front desk. Get your act together clowns.

Keys and valet

Keys had to be reset three times for failing to work on door. Had to wait for car up to forty minutes. That’s rediculous. Also after telling front desk to clean room it took over five hours for them to clean room.

One Night Stay

We only stayed for one night, but the location was perfect and the room was huge. Most importantly, it was clean.

Nice, customer relations/cleanliness could improve

Lovely view, and kind staff. We did however find a dead cockroach on the floor in the middle of the room under the desk. Therefore making it unlikely someone did a thorough vacuum of the room before our stay. The toilet was also clogged, which my boyfriend didn’t realize until he used it and tried to flush it. He had seen toilet paper in the bowl but had assumed I used it before him, which I did not. When I told the front desk about the roach she simply said “ok, well we cannot get cleaners to the room but we will have someone remove it”. I think when any guest tells you they found a roach you should begin with a very sincere apology. I did get one after asking for it. On the Saturday morning starting at 7am, a giant stage set up next to the hotel began playing rock at top volume, until 11 ish. It was beyond loud. Sleeping was impossible. The hotel was definitely aware of the event. Offering guests complimentary earplugs, or in the least warning them so they could purchase some, would have been very courteous. One of the staff did work with my sister to get a bottle of champagne for my room, which was very sweet an appreciated. Over all a clean room, with a nice view.

It is close to the French Quarter, so beware. Lots of people going out at 5pm and returning loudly between 2 and 5am. Physical plant is old.
