Minimalist design with a mid-century modern touch, the original 175+ year old hardwood floors and fireplaces create a special energy & feel, while modern amenities allow you to stay comfortable and connected. Full disclosure: The full bathroom was built into the original dormers (bay windows). This unique design limits head space for those tall people like myself, so don't be shy and indulge in a hot bath at your leisure! For those of you from California, don't feel guilty for using so much water... We have plenty of it to spare down here :) Access to the apartment is from the outside only, at the top of the separate stairway on the side of the house. There is a locked door in the far hallway that is the access to the rest of the house. Please do not try and open. The door is old!! :) We are available for whatever our guests may need! The Tremé is one of the oldest neighborhoods in the city, brimming with charm and energy. The location is central, which offers you easy access to the French Quarter, City Park, and the Fairgrounds. Within 2 blocks are three highly regarded classic New Orleans restaurants; Dooky Chase's, Willie Mae's Scotch House and Restaurant Gabrielle. Not to be missed!! Not to mention the Degas House and the Le Musée de F.P.C. | Free People of Color Museum (10 min walks). Too many attractions to list!! You're a 10min Uber/Lyft from everywhere :) Hop on a bike and be in the French Quarter in 8 minutes. Uber/Lyft is the best way to get around if it gets too hot or raining. Free private parking in our driveway is available. Just let me know how many vehicles ahead of time so I can accommodate.
