Great location with beautiful gardens. Only downside during the busy wedding season is there are no separate areas outside for non wedding guests to relax unless you sit inside.

Regarding the Wedding season, unfortunately our garden area is on a first come first serve basis, regardless if a guest is attending a wedding celebration or not, we can always try to accommodate an extra table outside, would you wish to return to us and if facing with similar situation, do not hesitate on contacting the reception team and we will ensure you are able to enjoy the gardens.

This was our second visit to Moorhill house.We love the area. The hotel is in desperate need of updating. The swimming pool was closed for repair throughout our stay and we were only notified of this when we arrived. Also complimentary toiletries were not replenished during our stay. The hotel is drastically understaffed. Having said that the staff on duty worked extremely hard to make our stay pleasant. A special mention to Callum who seemed to be everywhere and although inexperienced he coped well. I think management need to look at staffing and training at Moorhill house which could turn a good hotel into a great one.

Lots of mould around the window and shower room. Only stayed one night. Meantioned it to reception.

I had booked and paid for my stay before arrival. On arrival i was asked to pay again for my room. I said that i had paid on booking and this was accepted. I was informed that breakfast was included which i questioned as on the website it states breakfast is not included. On departing i was asked to pay again. I showed the receptionist proof of payment and this was accepted, then she tried to charge me for breakfast. I refused to pay this as i had been told it was included.

Rest closed mon/tues and very dated/mouldy room

Lovely part of the New Forest and convenient to A31 - so great location. Although... it wasn't clear when I booked that the restaurant is closed on Mon/Tues, which is unhelpful after a long day travelling and very remote (so had the offer of light bites, sandwich, baguette). Served a warm bottle of Peroni. Also wasn't aware that it provides exceptional service for "dogs" (including dog towels, bowls etc in reception doorway) - not great if not a dog lover and whilst on business travels! Room No. 11 very very dated and mouldy patches throughout. Would avoid for business/family travel - unless you have a dog in tow of course!
