The Staff is good and friendly. The hotel was probably nicer a few years ago. But the maintenance has been a bit lacking. I did not have any hand soap in the room and I was too tired to deal with someone bringing it up.

I would normally give this 5 stars all around because every part of the experience was top notch, accept the parking. With two hotels right next door to each other you would think that would be easier, but there was no parking available and upon my late night arrival from driving 6 hours that day, we had to park on the other side of the next door property in the back. There really is need for more spaces and a bigger lot with that many rooms available. Other than that, the front staff was excellent when I called ahead of time to confirm my late arrival for driving. The rooms were very very clean and the bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. The layout of king room also offered a second getting ready station in the room just outside of the bathroom with the outlets and a light and a full length mirror which was really helpful in the morning.

We visit San Marcos a few times a year to visit our daughter who's attending TXST. This is our preferred hotel, even though it's not the closest or the cheapest. Its been a consistently enjoyable experience, with excellent staff, comfortable facilities, and a nice environment.

Very nice modern and comfortable. Nice cafe with a happy hour and delicious flat bread. We will definitely stay here again in the future.

We were there for 3 nights. They did not empty our trash until after the 2nd night. They did not doo any kind of room service except put towels in the bathroom. very disappointing for it being a Marriott. will not stay there again

Restroom/ shower full of mucus (Boogers) not 1,2,,3 huge 4 How can housekeeping miss that! Shower floor dirty! I am thinking twice about sleeping on the bed ! Called front office and said no one to clean room at 7:30pm they were so nice and brought me Clorox towelettes for me to clean it myself (wow! Really ? ! ) I showed the front office the shower and obviously had no comment and for me to wait for housekeeping in the morning. Excellent customer service! 5 stars!

Customer service was not great. The bistro both night and morning shift were not nice at all the night shift worker literally said I’m usually a b but right now I’m being nice while giving attitude about making fries. Before check out the maid knocked twice starting 30 minutes before check out . Basically making us feel rushed to leave.

The staff members were rude when I was trying to express my frustration with parking and noise. The property hosted an event with a Dj that literally made the walls shake in our second story room. When I called because I assumed the noise was coming from a room I was met with attitude and was told to just deal with it. With the event came no parking. Our options were to park on the back side of the neighboring hotel or to park in the street that had no street lights or security. When I asked what happens if something happens to my car I was told “I’m a front desk worker I don’t know what you want from me.” This was just mine and my husbands experience this doesn’t even include the 5 other rooms that were booked for the people I attended a wedding with. There are plenty of other options in the San Marcos, New Braunfels, and Seguin area I would save my money and not stay at the Courtyard by Marriott. Honestly I’m probably would avoid anything by Marriott if that is the way they train their employees to handle concerns of paying customers.
