I booked a room night late at night because my previous plans didn’t work out. Great that there is a 24 hour front desk! The staff clearly care about hospitality and are very kind. The bed was exceptionally comfortable—I was actually surprised how much and I had a great sleep. I was there on a Saturday, but the hotel is just far enough outside the noisy areas to be quiet. But, also a short walk to the noise when you want to be in it! Definitely recommend.

This is our second visit to La Ermita.We stayed for seven nights. It is in a great location for exploring Nerja. Staff were helpful and friendly. We had breakfast every day which there was a great choice on the menu, also had dinner which was very good. Good value. We spent some time at the pool each day which was lovely. Room was clean and modern. Will be back.

Good location hostel with on site restaurant, good
The hotel is a very good hostel, the staff is fryand helpful. The room is not very big but sufficient for us 2 adults and with 2 big suitcases, they have a lift makes us easy for the big suitcases. The swimming pool on site is very relaxing and is with a bar. The location very good, just 10 minutes walk to the Balcón of Europa, and there are many good restaurants. There is a on site cafe offering good food with good price, we specially enjoy the breakfast there and they start service early which is really good. I recommended it , it is good value.

A Fantastic Hidden Gem
This a hidden gem the rooms are somewhat basic but clean and comfortable. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant is fantastic and so much value for your money. The pool area is very tranquil with a great pool.

Good cheap restaraunt..thats it...rooms very very dated and a really musty smell that sticks to your clothes ..1 star rooms..3 star food.

basic,clean,great location - shower not great tho
excellent location, close to centre/balcon de Europa and huge open waste ground/parking lot behind the hotel makes for easy parking. Generally very difficult to park in centre, the waste ground is attended by a small group and it is always busy. Room itself was good size, blackout curtains and aircon were great. Comfortable bed and pillows. Only downside was the bathroom/shower. The attachment would not hold shower head up at all so had to shower holding the head in one hand (makes it very awkward to wash hair) and the temperature was not great. First day, took over 5 mins to warm up (was about to give up and have ice cold shower). Second day, fluctuated between scalding hot and ice cold without touching the dial, there seemed to be no inbetween and changed without warning. Reported to frontdesk on way out, if not for shower then would have got full marks all round. Cleaning lady also wasn't very quiet and woke us up both mornings (Saturday and sunday) at 8am banging the door at the end of the corridor by our room where the supplies were....

Ideal for couples
Hotel is in an excellent location to explore Nerja. It is spotlessly clean with a lovely pool. Food is good and very reasonably priced.

Lovely clean hostal in excellent location. Run by a super spanish family where nothing is too much trouble. Highly recommend.

The location was ok to walk to places we were interested but is not near the beach. It does however have a nice pool with bar and restaurant. Is a bit dated but very clean. Was not over priced

Bank holiday weekend break
This is a great hostel, ideal location. Room was clean and a good size. The added bonus of a swimming pool and sun deck was great. Breakfast was also good and value for money. The added bonus of a bar/restaurant made our stay more enjoyable. Will be returning for sure.

Great location
Great location and no complaints about the room. It wasn't anything fancy but it was clean enough. I only stayed one night in a single room. When I asked about leaving my backpack they showed me a room to put it in, the room didn't have closed doors or anything but my backpack was still there at the end of the day.

Great location but the receptionist spent the whole time on the phone while booking us in and then when we were leaving the next day my husband slipped on the steps by the reception desk and all the receptionist said was there was no liquid on the floor and then walked away. Very expensive for a hostal will not be staying again.

Great value for money. But it is what it is!
The hotel is dated , my room should have included a balcony and breakfast but it didn't. My single room was adequate for the price paid. All in all it was good value for money. The cafe bar is excellent value for money.

Nice town, good room, great location
Nerja is a nice little town and this place is easy walking distance to everything. Wifi was great. Parking a block away at a public lot was easy, bu note that we were in the off-season. The restaurant/bar downstairs can be noisy but we didn't hear anything from the room. The panaceria across the street had great bread and pastries - the best we had in Spain

Centrally located hotel, our room had balcony above main road . Room was comfortable and clean. Downstairs restuarant and bad was popular with locals and did reasonably priced meals. There was free parking in a dusty, unminitored park at bottom of calle ingenio 100m away.

First and last stay in Hostal Ermita!
After heaving two suitcases up several stairs we found the tatty looking reception desk. A woman who we found out later was the owner's wife was using the telephone and so we waited. She then left the desk with the 'phone and went "walkabout". On her return we gave her our booking information and not a word was exchanged between us other than her request "passports". She used her computer screen, copied our passports and threw a room key onto the desk. I asked about breakfast as we had booked it and she gave us a card with the breakfast service time on it. Still not a word of communication or any kind of welcome. The room was very basic but we have to say that the towels, bedding and bathroom/toilet were very clean. Unfortunately there was nowhere to hang towels and the only shelf of any kind was sloping downward so anything we put on it just slid off. The breakfast was a choice from the full menu. We were served very good fresh orange juice and coffee/ tea was on offer. After the first day of rubbery scrambled eggs or fried bacon/eggs which were truly awful we ordered toast only for the remaining 3 days of our stay. While we understand that it is a two star hostal and it was our first experience of this type of accommodation we think it was poor value for money. Let's just stay we won't be returning to Hostal Ermita!

Basic but very happy with our stay
My husband and I stayed here for 1 week during September 2014. We had a double room on the second floor with views to the front of the B&B, onto the main road/ street which was loud at times during the night and early morning. Our accommodation was basic but very clean with house keeping in on a daily basis providing clean towels etc. There was a lovely cafe/ restaurant on the ground floor of the premises which we had our breakfast in each day and on a few occasions our evening meal. The food was beautiful and not expensive. The accommodation was ideal and I would recommend this B&B to anyone who wants to stay with Nerja Centre, near to shops, restaurants etc at reasonable cost. Wifi also available in reception and in the bar/ restaurant.

Just a stay for one night, able to visit Nerja cen
The hotel was ideal for one night, easy walking distance to centre and attractions of Nerja. Although in a very busy part of town, room was was quiet. The staff were friendly however were mainly Spanish speaking so you need to practice your Spanish.

Convenient and central!
Quite pleasant, helpful and courteous staff. Helped with local information. Moved me to quiter room upon request. Breakfast was good, and reasonably priced. One only concern was night reception staff: did not tell noisy women guests to stop making noise when returning to their rooms after a drunken night out..very annoying having my sleep spoiled by inconsiderate people!

I had problems with the shower not working the first night. They asked me to change rooms which I refused. The problem was fixed when I threatened to stay at another hotel. Was a bit of messing but was fine in end. Very difficult to maintain constant temperature with shower. Apart from that lovely, clean hotel with excellent bar and friendly staff. Would probably stay again if the price is ok

We arrived past midnight due to delayed flight but were pleased to see the desk manned. Very polite but did not inform us that you have to insert key in wall switch before obtaining electricity, as it was pitch dark we couldn't see it !! Breakfast very good and very reasonably priced. Good air-conditioned room although bathroom had few hairs in it and shower leaked through door so nice pool on floor. Despite this we would stay again.
