This was a revised trip & we were unable to fly to Nelson on Monday 6 September because of COVID-19. A shorter trip started on Wednesday 8 September. Weather a bit dicey

Great location right across the road from two supermarkets, several restaurants, takeaways and bars. Two petrol stations and two liquor stores in close proximity. Friendly and efficient staff, free parking on site with more free parking on the street if needed. Quiet side street off the main drag. Brilliant water pressure (fantastic shower) and a good nights sleep in their quality bed. Room 1 also had a couch, a second single bed, and accessible facilities. The grounds are pretty with potted geraniums and other florals making the atmosphere welcoming and quaint. Will stay again.

Lovely, clean and tidy room. We were told about the night market across the road when we arrived, which was a lovely experience of food and music. Very handy location, plenty of cafès and supermarkets close by all within walking distance.

The price was at the higher end of what I would expect to pay for the size of room. However the owner made us feel very welcome.

Thank you for your review. The standard studios are very competitively priced ($105-120 depending on length of stay, number of occupants, booking channel) considering the facilities and comfort offered. Although they are compact the floor area and floor plan are shown on the booking site so that guests are aware of the dimensions. Perhaps another factor is the aggressive pricing adopted by other providers because of low occupancy as a result of covif-19 measures.

It was very convenient to where we needed to be whilst in Stoke. The proprietors were very pleasant and helpful - even helping take our luggage upstairs because of mobility issues. The only downside was the size of the room - it was relatively small. Luckily, however, we were out most of the time so it was not too much of a problem.

The standard studios are compact but this suits most people that choose these rooms as they are priced accordingly and they value comfort, convenience and cleanliness foremost. However, to make sure that guests are aware of the room size we have a room plan picture (to scale)/room area on the booking site to ensure that there are no surprises when guests arrive.

Close to lovely gardens where there is a cute cafe called the garden window and the nearby shopping centre has 2 supermarkets. Squires for breakfast is amazing value with generous portions and fabulous muffins for only$4. The motel has a huge range of DVD s. Washing is$2 and they have a line for drying and as the weather was sunny and windy we didn’t have to use the dryer. The room is beautifully clean and the owners friendly.

The property was located handily to the local shops & cafes, very clean and the staff were helpful & friendly. Very safe as right next to Police station! Only things to take into consideration are that most rooms are upstairs & no lift so need mobility, and ask for a room on the caryard side of the building as quieter (tradesman who lives next door on left hand side parks right under the room windows and woke me up at 6am banging things around in his ute then talking to his mate; not the fault of the motel but bloody annoying).

Thank you for your review. We have 3 ground floor units (two are access) and 7 first floor units. Guests with mobility issues generally choose the ground floor units so a lift is not really necessary. The house next door is owned by a Golden Bay couple who use it as their town base. It is only occasionally occupied and any early morning noise would have been a very rare event.

Friendly and fully supportive staff and housekeeping. Very clean and even has laubdry sẻvices. Located close to shopping and very good restaurants. Safe and free car park and located two doors down from the local police station. I will be back in a couple of month’s time.

The position of the Motel was excellent and very close to amenities. It was quiet, clean and comfortable and the owners were very helpful. I would probably upgrade to the larger room if we were staying longer than our 2 nights.

We stayed here the night before hiking the Abel Tasman track, because we wanted to explore Nelson yet be situated close enough to start our drive out to the park and begin hiking early the next morning. This hotel was recommended to us by another couple who we met backpacking. The room was clean and comfortable, and the owner gave great information about the local area. Many hotels in the Nelson area are located on busy roads, and this hotel is no exception, but it is set back from the road a bit with a cozy little sitting area.

If you don’t mind not being in the center of all the action then this is a well priced nice motel to stay st. Their is a hotel across the road serving good pub food and it’s close to a chemist and supermarket. Central between Nelson and Richmond and a good place evto stop a few days while you head out in your car and explore the area

This is a lovely place to stay
We had a great time. The room was perfect for our needs. The owners were friendly and helpful and so were the other guests. We were able to borrow bicycles and this opened up the whole area for us. We found a supermarket nearby and some of the local pubs we're excellent.

Had a great stay at this lovely little hotel. The manager was very nice and helpful. Everything was excellent and found room comfort and size very good, but I might be a bit fussy on the bed comfort.

The owner-operated motel is very kept and clean. What really makes it is the service, they went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed, and were very helpful with finding my way around the local area!
