This is a horribly rundown, ugly, smelly property. The entire place is musty and moldy. Also, there was no breakfast other than granola bars. Everything smelled musty. There was a stain on the toilet seat. The nightstand had bubble in its top. If it hadn't been late when I checked in, I would have promptly left. The price was right when I booked it, but really, no price is right for such a dump.

Beneath the Super 8 brand
Do not stay here. Hard beds, filthy, rooms smel bad, and very very low rent. Breakfast is not served. They have dollar store items like oatmeal or a bar. I would honestly pay double to take back the experience. Worst Super 8 ever. Staff and Manager simply do not care about your satisfaction. Expect very little of any ammenity that is loosely suggested online.

The “suite” was very outdated and needed repairs upon arrival. Definitely not worth the extra money spent. Also- there isn’t any breakfast per se. The bowl of oatmeal provided wasn’t what was expected. There are no vending machines like in the pictures either. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let people know that there is no elevator on site.

Motel 8 is a 10!!
The stay at Motel 8 was amazing. It was a great location. The rate was very reasonable especially for the Christmas Festival. Though, I did book in February. The staff was friendly. I would definitely use them again.

Manipulation Hotel
First off, the pictures of the room is angled to make the room and hotel look updated, it’s not!! They threw a few coats of paint over the mildew stains on the ceilings and walls. There’s holes in the ceilings, The air conditioner system in the room was from the 1800s and it did not blow at all, they advertised free breakfast, their breakfast only consisted of muffins, oatmeal, and granola bars, literally not even cereal! They provided Orange juice, apple juice, and coffee, so my kids and I didn’t have breakfast at all other than the apple juice! The internet was trash, couldn’t even send a video message to someone on it! The area is rural so there was no good reception on my phone. The beds were full size beds, hard and uncomfortable. Upon check in I had to give the manager a 50$ cash deposit, upon check out he personally came and checked our room before he returned the deposit. He stated that was the rules and that this 50$ deposit is listed upon the various sites. I paid 162$ plus the 50$ deposit which I got back upon checkout for a double bed room and the room was not worth half of that. I peeped outside occasionally to make sure my car was still there bc the location seemed sketchy. I would have stayed somewhere else but the manager told me there was absolutely no refunds and the hotel was independently owned and the owner was unreachable, everything goes through him. So me and my kids stayed the night but was up as soon as the sun came up and left.

They required a $100 cash deposit. nothing was said about that on the listing. after inspection. They refund the deposit look very inconvenient. I do not carry cash. very dirty. Very seesy area that I will never stay here again

The property is a bit run down. Sheets had stains, curtains had black stains, bathroom was tiny, and shower curtain rod was loose. Would have less complaints if this property was priced accordingly but there was a large event in town and the rates were increased. This room was $170 per night after taxes and fees for the one night we stayed. Several others in our group stayed here as well with similar issues. One of our group even had to have them replace the stained and torn sofa mattress. Would not stay here again at this price point.

Not a comfy stay
The guy working the front desk at check-in was very nice. That was the only good thing about my experience. I was in a non-smoking room that smelled like smoke. The curtain had blood stains. The comforter had cigarette burn holes in it. The shower water came out brown. I was given some Pinesol from the front desk and that helped a little bit with the smell. The people above me decided to have a tap dance contest in the middle of the night so I got very little sleep. When I woke up, my nose was stopped up, I was sneezing and had a very bad headache so I had to leave after one night. In the morning, the front desk person was on the phone and had to finish his conversation before helping me check out. He had to get help with checking me out which was fine with me. I appreciated that he wanted to do it right. The picture is an accurate daytime picture but at night, it looks really creepy and scary.

It was an amazing trip! Everything was just right for our stay. Rooms were clean, hotel was quiet. Maids were very nice and front desk was excellent service. All around a great place to stay.

The property was fine, but the smell of marijuana that hit me when I walked into the office to check in was disappointing. I don't know where it was coming from, I assume one of the other guests in their room. I didn't feel safe at all. The employee at the front desk was friendly and tried to accommodate my friend and me. We're senior citizens. He put us in room 101, which is handicap accessible... the chain on the door was broken off; the shower head was almost hanging down, and the hot water handle on the sink faucet was missing. I was so ready to get out of there. I'm just glad we only pre-paid for one night.

Cons: No Wi-Fi in my room. If you want Wi-Fi you have to be in or near the lobby. Cold water in my sink didn't work. I had to use cold water from the bathtub. Carpet needs to be cleaned. VERY limited breakfast - granola bars, muffins, instant oatmeal, juice and coffee. Pros: Quiet. Nice staff. Comfortable bed. Linens smell amazing. This used to be my go-to place to stay in Natchitoches, but it's under new management and it's just not the same. It used to have a really decent breakfast, and Wi-Fi in your room. Not any more. However, it is quiet and has a comfy bed. If you're just looking for a no frills place to sleep, this can be a good choice.

Thank you for your review. We are working to improve our WiFi connectivity throughout the hotel it is however taking some time. The recent thunderstorms in our area damaged our equipment. According to current brand standards breakfast is to include coffee, juice, hot chocolate, tea and one individually wrapped breakfast item.
