Really nice hotel on the beach.

Posted 07-Feb-2016
Pros: Perfect location on the beach with beautiful views, great maintenance of the hotel and surroundings. There were plenty of various activities.
Cons: Air conditioning very noisy.
Location: We took a tour to Nassau and Paradise Island
More than we expected. Room was clean, comfortable, did have everything what we needed. There was variety of good foods, including fresh salads and fruits. Excellent service, hotel staff very friendly and very nice. Great entertainment with good music and dancers.

This was my second stay at Breezes. I love it! Tons to do, between the beach, pool, bars, ping/pong, pool tables, tennis courts, restaurants, and night entertainment. The food is really good, and I especially love the piano bar.

Great location, nice people.. a few distractions.

Pros: Proximity to town & access to #10 city bus was great and we used it several times to get to Nassau town center and Arawak Cay fish fry (Go there!).
Cons: 1. Tell guests what they will expect regarding construction. 2, Offer guests "food-only" inclusive.... adding open bar just invites the wrong crowd.
Location: Loved #10 bus to Nassau and Fish Fry at Awawak Cay. BAHA Mar is going in next door and will suck staff away from here.... but it hasn't opened yet.
The site was wonderful and the hotel about what we expected. However, there are several things they don't tell you before you arrive. 1. Construction on the Presidential Suite was scheduled for 1/19 and 1/20 2016 as stated on a flyer at each elevator. However, it continued each workday well into the next week during our visit. No rooms to move to were available and no compensation was offered. As guests 4 rooms down on the same 8th floor, this got annoying. 2. Restaurants were serving good food for an all inclusive but rotating schedules as to when each was open caused us to skip a few nights and just go off site to eat. It was simply easier to find what we wanted. For example, there is a Japanese restaurant but only good if you like Beni Hana style cho-chop stir-fry food. No sushi or above average choices. We did have great food at the Garden of Eden but menu was limited to 4 entrees.... but it was still above average food so do eat there for sure. 3. A HUGE hotel named Baha Mar is going in almost next door and when it opens, the beaches will be extremely crowded. There is a potential bankruptcy issue with the new hotel so opening will be delayed and the government is involved. Therefore, be aware this may affect your time here. Many of the good staff and local military and police have signed up to go work there so check it out before you go..your trip could be staffed by the leftovers. That being said, everybody who was there was friendly & smiling. (1/2016)

Amazing staff!

Posted 26-Jan-2016
We booked this trip as a winter getaway and it was a great value for the price. The buffet is open for 3 meals a day plus a late night snack. Grill by the pool had great lunch options. We didn't try any of the restaurants. The staff was beyond amazing and helpful! The weather wasn't great for our whole trip but the staff made sure everyone had plenty to do. Jarvis in the dining room was so nice and took care of whatever we needed. The food was good to excellent. Drinks were fantastic!!! The rooms were clean but extremely outdated. Hotel overall was outdated but very clean. Already planning our next trip back!! You really can't beat the price!

We had bad weather but the staff worked really hard to make it a great weekend. The facility is a little dated but very comfortable.

All a Breeze at Breezes

Posted 25-Jan-2016
This was our second visit to Breezes. We participate in the Race for the Cure and Bahamas Half Marathon. Check in is always seamless. We took our own bags to our rooms. We had a garden room on the 3rd floor overlooking the trees and not the pool area. If you want a quiet room this is the side. Staff is outstanding, friendly and accommodating. Housekeeping was adequate. Nice selection of toiletries, plenty of hot water and good water pressure and drainage. Lighting in the rooms is dim: 2 lamps with low wattage CFL bulbs. We requested a coffee maker which was delivered promptly. The mattresses are ready for replacement. Food is served buffet style. It is plentiful and varied Dining room staff is efficient and pleasant. We would have appreciated hand sanitizing stations in the dining room. We did not try any of the specialty restaurants. Getting into town is a breeze. Hop on the #10 bus and get off on Bay St 10 minutes later. The buses run frequently and you can't beat the $1.25 cost. Pay the driver when you exit. There are more upscale resorts on the island but you cannot beat all-inclusive Breezes for character and friendly service.
